Welcome to Past, Present, and Future! This is a new podcast hosted by me, Josh, where I'll be joined by a guest co-host and have a good chin wag about a chosen topic's past, present, and future!
This week Josh is joined by Sarah Thomson, American history PhD student at the University of Edinburgh, to chat about Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan, the current sitting president Joe Biden, and discuss who could one day be president of the United States.

2. YAS QUEEN, WORK: Gay Pride!
Happy Pride Month everyone! It is the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots - a historic and important event in gay history which we'll be talking about in the episode. Today I am joined by my friend Lewis Twiby and we have just arrived at the LGBTQ community - a physical place according to Britney Spears and are ready to talk about some good ol' queer history and current affairs. For our past we discuss the Black Cat Tavern raid and the Stonewall Riots; for our Present we will be chatting about the Gender Recognition Act reform and the capitalisation of Pride events; and for our Future we will be discussing the progress of LGBTQ rights in Africa and the implementation of LGBTQ inclusive education in Scotland. I hope you're all having a wonderful pride month - listen until the end to hear my recommendations for queer TV, documentaries, and movies.
