What 2024 Taught Me About Stillness, Self-Worth, and Real Growth

Dear YOU, As I sit here in the stillness of the mountains, far from the energetic whirlwind of Ibiza, I find myself deeply reflecting on this past year. 2024 has been a year of challenges, growth, and learning—a year that has reminded me of the profound importance of pausing, stepping back, and reconnecting with the essence of who we are. This practice of stillness has taught me that transformation is not about reaching some distant destination. Instead, it is about showing up in the present moment, noticing the patterns that no longer serve us, and gently choosing to meet ourselves with compassion. These quiet pauses have also reminded me of the classroom that life offers us, with its mirrors reflecting back the deeper truths we sometimes avoid. And yes, these truths—often uncomfortable—are the portals to real and lasting change. Looking back, I can’t help but reflect on how our culture encourages us to constantly do more, achieve more, and be more. We live in a world that celebrates "service to self"—a pursuit of individual gain that often leaves us feeling disconnected, lonely, and even unworthy. I’ve witnessed this firsthand, not only in others but also in my own life. This year, I faced some of these truths in a deeply personal way. I’ve come to understand that the pain and unworthiness I once carried were mine to acknowledge. One of the most profound lessons I’ve learned is that even the most painful experiences can be incredible teachers. For me, it was through reconciling these parts of myself—meeting them with honesty and compassion—that I began to create a new foundation within. This is the work: not running from our vulnerability, but embracing it as a source of strength. So how do we transform ourselves in a grounded, lasting way? It begins with slowing down. Transformation starts in the quiet moments when we notice the patterns that we’ve been repeating—patterns that may feel soothing or comfortable in the short term but hold us back in the long run. When we avoid our pain, it’s human. We all seek relief when things feel uncomfortable. But when avoidance becomes a pattern, it keeps us from seeing what’s really there, beneath the surface. True change happens when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable. It’s not about being strong or having all the answers. It’s about being present with the parts of ourselves that feel tender, broken, or not good enough—and meeting them with the kindness they deserve. In doing so, we stop projecting these feelings onto others and start turning inward, creating an internal structure of care, compassion, and sovereignty. This has been my greatest takeaway from 2024: transformation is not something we wait for—it is something we actively cultivate, moment by moment, by showing up for ourselves with courage and gentleness. And as we close out this year, I invite you to reflect on your own journey. What patterns have surfaced for you? What lessons have you learned? And how can you meet yourself with more kindness as you step into 2025? Thank you for being part of this community. It is through our shared stories and reflections that we continue to grow, together. I hope you’ll take a moment to watch the video I’ve created, where I share more about this journey and how these lessons have shaped me. May the year ahead bring clarity, transformation, and deeper connection—for all of us. With love and gratitude,Stephanie This is a public episode. A Path to Inner Gold

How are you navigating the currents of life today? Whether you’re feeling energized or moving through heaviness, know that each moment offers an invitation—a path to uncover the hidden treasures within. As we expand into new dreams, step into our power, or embark on fresh projects, something often stirs within. Old fears, anxieties, and shadows rise, as if from some inner basement, to remind us of what we’ve tucked away. But what if these hidden parts, often seen as obstacles, are actually our greatest allies? There’s gold within our shadows, and they hold the keys to our deepest authenticity, joy, and creative gifts. Finding Wisdom in the New School of Self This journey of inner exploration may not be what we learned in traditional schooling, but it’s the curriculum that life is offering us now. It’s a “new school” of heart-centered presence. Here, we’re invited to look at the parts of ourselves we’ve ignored—the anxious thoughts, the self-doubts, the isolated feelings. Facing them takes courage, not to push through, but to be with these parts tenderly. Rumi beautifully captures this journey: “The wound is where the light enters.” Our wounds, the places where we feel inadequate or vulnerable, hold access to our hearts. It’s in allowing ourselves to be humbled by these parts that we find true strength, wisdom, and presence. We unlearn the old, rigid beliefs that strength means perfection or power means control. True power lies in presence—in seeing and honoring every part of who we are. An Invitation to Pause and Connect If today feels heavy or confusing, know that you’re not alone. I invite you to find a quiet space, take a deep breath, and tune into those tender places within. Approach them as you would an old friend who needs a gentle reminder that it’s safe to be seen. Ask, “What do you need?” Often, our shadows simply need acknowledgment; they want to feel welcomed, accepted, and safe to exist. In this presence, we realize that beneath all fear resides love, waiting for us to touch it. In connecting with our shadows, we unlock deeper truths and step into our intuitive wisdom, tapping into the divine intelligence that has always been within us. Creating from Wholeness As we reunite these different aspects of ourselves, each one finds a home in our hearts, and we begin to create from a place of wholeness. This journey isn’t about perfection but integration—finding belonging for all parts of ourselves within us. From here, we create with authenticity, joy, and freedom. This is the path to inner gold. It’s a doorway to living from our fullest, truest self, embodied in presence and love. Thank you for walking this path with me, and for meeting yourself here with such openness. I’m here with you, step by step, as we embrace this beautiful journey together. With all my love,Stephanie Ready to Take the Next Step?If you feel called to dive deeper into your journey of healing and personal growth, I invite you to schedule a complimentary 20-minute discovery call with me. We Are the Creators of Our Inner and Outer World

What’s happening inside of us is reflected in the world around us, and the chaos we see outside is also unfolding within. This is a time of immense transformation—energies that challenge us to grow, to release, and to awaken. Yet, for these energies to move through us, we must let go of the stories our minds cling to, the ones that keep us shackled to the past and to a sense of powerlessness. It’s not some external force that will magically free us. External events may trigger a deeper expression of our creativity, they may crack open our hearts, but it’s up to us to allow this transformation. So often, we remain trapped in a victim mindset, forgetting the profound truth: on an unconscious level, we are co-creating our reality. I’m not suggesting that we consciously choose the chaos or the manipulation we see in the world—whether it be war, greed, or power plays driven by specific interests. These forces exist, and we acknowledge them for what they are. But the real question is: How are you choosing to show up today? Will you meet this moment from a place of fear and judgment, or will you rise in empowerment, in empathy, and in love? When we come from love, we tap into the truth of who we really are. In each moment, in each breath, we have the chance to remember this. The outer conflicts we see are merely reflections—mirrors inviting us to look within and acknowledge the parts of ourselves still hiding in shame, fear, sadness, or anger. This process of transformation is not just happening "out there"; it’s happening through us. We are the channels through which darkness is transmuted into light. But to allow this alchemy, we need to release our addiction to drama and distraction, and return to the present, to our hearts. Today, I invite you to take a deeper step into your heart. To notice when you’re pulled into the noise, the chaos, the temptation to numb yourself. Instead, remember your role here—as a steward of inner strength, of inner power, and of the light that shines through when we stay present. We all play a part in this unfolding transformation. Thank you for being here and for doing the deep work. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this—what’s your experience of these energies moving through your life? With love and presence,Stephanie Ready to Take the Next Step?If you feel called to dive deeper into your journey of healing and personal growth, I invite you to schedule a complimentary 20-minute discovery call with me. Embody your Truth. Let go of Old Stories.

Hi Beloved Community, In my recent video, I explore the profound and life-changing process of embodiment—the art of coming out of the mind and into the body. This shift, as simple as it sounds, is one of the most challenging yet liberating things you can do. We often live in stories of unworthiness, doubt, or fear that were planted in us long ago. When those stories linger in the background, they shape how we experience the world, often reinforcing the very struggles we're trying to escape. And right now, with the chaos in the outer world, many of us feel the ground slipping beneath our feet. So how do we find stability amidst the storm? It begins with letting go. Letting go of the false belief that we can control everything through our mind. Letting go of old stories that no longer serve us. Letting go of the tendency to avoid our emotions, rather than seeing them as messengers. Embodiment is about turning inward—connecting with your deepest self, your emotions, and your inner wisdom. As you do this, you discover the anchor that has been within you all along, one that doesn't rely on the outside world for safety or meaning. Our October Retreat: An Invitation to Deepen This Practice This October, I invite you to join me on a retreat designed to support this powerful inner work. Together, we’ll explore practices of embodied inquiry, letting go of limiting stories, and connecting with the energies of our emotions to reclaim our innate sense of inner safety and connection. This retreat will be an intimate gathering, and as part of our community, you're receiving early access to exclusive details before we open the registration to the broader public. I encourage you to secure your spot if you're feeling called to deepen your embodiment journey. Retreat information is below. In the meantime, take a moment to reflect: * Where in your life are you still stuck in old stories? * What emotions are you avoiding or not fully embracing? * What would it feel like to reconnect to your inner anchor? You are already enough, already worthy, and this journey is about rediscovering that truth within you. Love,Stephanie P.S. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this transformative retreat experience. If you’re ready to explore the next step in your embodiment practice, this retreat could be the perfect opportunity for you. Navigating Long-term Relationships with Embodied Compassion

Hello, dear community, Feels good to share with you my latest impromptu conversation, where Giancarlo (https://difuso.net/) and I delve into the complexities of long-term relationships. Reflecting on Neil Strauss’s insights, we explore a pivotal moment in our journey—realizing that our frustrations were not the fault of one another, but rather opportunities for personal growth. Here are some key takeaways from the conversation Taking Responsibility for Our Feelings: Our relationship, like many others, is a work in progress. We realized that by taking responsibility for our own emotions instead of blaming each other, we could cultivate deeper empathy and connection. Honoring What's Alive: Giancarlo beautifully emphasizes the importance of honoring each other's emotional experiences. This means recognizing and validating feelings without rationalizing or dismissing them, a core principle of nonviolent communication. Boundaries and Self-Care: While honoring each other's feelings is essential, setting boundaries is equally important. It’s crucial to communicate openly about the need for personal space and self-care without feeling responsible for fixing each other’s emotions. Transforming Trauma into Wisdom: Our ongoing work in therapy and personal development has taught us the value of transforming past wounds into wisdom. By sharing our experiences, we hope to inspire others to embark on their healing journeys. Finding Flow: Giancarlo shared his thoughts on finding oneself through flow—the state of being so absorbed in an activity that it feels effortless and natural. For him, this occurs when helping others heal, a profound way to turn personal struggles into collective growth. We hope these reflections resonate with you and provide some food for thought in your own relationships. Remember, growth is a journey, and every step forward, no matter how small, is significant. Warmly, Stephanie & Giancarlo This is a public episode. From Darkness into Light: Navigating the Journey of Transformation

Dear Friends, If you’re among those who’ve reached out or shared your experiences with me, I want to offer reassurance and comfort. Feelings of depression, disillusionment, confusion, panic, and anxiety about the future, feelings of helplessness and hopelessness—these are all completely normal reactions given our current circumstances. This journey from darkness into light is a profound and transformative one, often described as the "dark night of the soul." It’s an awakening from the egoic, controlling mind into the essence of who you truly are. This process isn’t something you can control, organize, or schedule. It emerges and unfolds from within. Many of us, myself included, are experiencing these shifts. The symptoms change, and it often feels like riding a wave. One moment you might feel blissful, enjoying the ride, and the next, you could find yourself at the bottom of a well. In these moments, it's crucial to learn how to be with yourself, to avoid abandoning yourself or numbing your feelings. Our culture isn’t designed to make us well; it’s designed to keep us distracted. For those on a path of transformation, understanding that we have the ability within us to hold and integrate these emerging parts without succumbing to the depths of pain and old stories is essential. Here are five practices to support your journey: * Contemplation: When you notice difficult emotions or reactions, ask yourself, "Is this a wound? Am I reacting from this space, or do I have the capacity to understand that this is just a part of me coming up?" This awareness helps in distinguishing between past wounds and present reality. * Meditation: Learning to calm your mind and find stillness is essential. Stepping out of the chaos and developing your own sense of self and identity doesn’t mean being stuck in old patterns. Meditation helps you connect with your deeper self beyond the intellectual mind. * Communication: Talk to others who understand the profound nature of transformation. Engage in conversations with friends, community members, therapists, or facilitators who can relate to and support your journey. Sharing and expressing your experiences can be incredibly healing. * Prayer: Pray for your life, for the wisdom, strength, and understanding you need in the moment. Recognize that everyone is going through their own unique journey, and your experience is valid and significant. Prayer can provide a sense of connection and guidance. * Quiet Time: Make space in your schedule for unscheduled time. Allow yourself to sit, process, and feel. Being constantly in your thinking mind can prevent you from dropping deeper into your true self. Quiet time fosters deeper levels of transformation, clearing channels for receiving guidance and moving beyond old behaviors. The journey through the dark night of the soul can be repetitive and challenging, but it’s also profoundly transformative. By doing the inner work and engaging in dialogue with these parts of yourself, you will notice a difference. You’ll become more accustomed to facing rather than running from difficult feelings. Instead of turning away, learn to turn towards them, opening your heart with understanding, forgiveness, acceptance, and unconditional love. Tune into Your Inner Stillness: A Path to Healing

Dear Community, I hope this message finds you well and grounded. As we navigate these times of rapid change, it can feel as though life is a giant mirror, reflecting back to us the parts of ourselves that are still in need of healing and transformation. This process can be uncomfortable, but it’s also a profound opportunity for growth. In moments of tension or conflict, it’s easy to fall into the habit of blaming others for our discomfort. Yet, the real power lies in pausing, tuning in, and asking ourselves if our reactions stem from old wounds or from a place of empowerment. Remember, you always have a choice in how you respond. Things are moving fast, and it’s easy to get caught up in our minds and stories. I invite you to take a few moments throughout your day to reconnect with your body and breathe deeply, repeating the mantra, “I love stillness. I love stillness. I love stillness.” This simple practice helps us process our experiences and return to our center. Thank you for reading Presence Embodied with Stephanie Canavesio. This post is public so feel free to share it. We are beautifully, gorgeously human, often forgetting and reverting to old survival patterns. This is why the present moment feels intense – it’s a time of immense growth supported by the universe. By slowing down and tuning in, we can bridge the gap between our darker, more challenging aspects and the brilliant light of our potential. Reflect on these questions: Where in your life can you slow down? Where can you show yourself more compassion? Recognize that while no one knows exactly what the future holds, you have the power to find stillness and groundedness within yourself. This inner anchor will support you through any external changes. Embrace the duality of being human by honoring your past survival strategies and choosing to move forward with the wisdom of your higher self. Acknowledge the vulnerable parts of you, but also engage with the adult, wise part that can hold space for your growth. Thanks for reading Presence Embodied with Stephanie Canavesio! Subscribe for free to receive new posts and support my work. In my journey and work with clients, I’ve noticed three key practices that help during challenging times: 🏵️ Connection over Isolation: Notice when you tend to isolate and ask if it truly nourishes you. Sometimes, reaching out to friends and giving of yourself can open your heart and provide immense support. 🏵️ Healing in Groups: Healing often happens in groups. Find safe spaces where you can be vulnerable and share your heart without judgment. This collective energy can transmute old fears and foster deep healing. 🏵️ Passion and Creativity: Engage in activities you love. Whether it’s writing, yoga, energy work, or baking cookies with loved ones, these moments of joy and creativity can bring lightness to heavy times. Additionally, water has a grounding and cleansing effect. Whether it’s taking a bath, a shower, or simply spending time near a body of water, allow the element of water to connect you back to yourself. Choosing Authenticity in a Time of Change

Dear Community, We're living through a significant period of change, surrounded by various narratives and perspectives. It's a time that invites us to reflect on who we are and what truly resonates with our innermost selves. A Moment to Reflect and Choose This is an opportunity to consider our choices. Are the stories we tell ourselves uplifting and true to who we are, or are they based on old fears and habits? It's a chance to consciously decide whether to continue along familiar paths or to step into new possibilities that align more closely with our authentic selves. Questioning Our Stories Every day, we're presented with stories – about the world and about ourselves. It's essential to pause and ask: Are these stories rooted in love and growth, or are they based on fear? This questioning can lead us to make choices that are more in tune with our true nature. Reclaiming Our Power There's a lot of information out there, and it's easy to get caught up in others' stories and opinions. But how often do we consider the impact of these external voices on our sense of self? It's crucial to recognize when we're giving away our power and to start reclaiming it by trusting our own voice and truth. Embracing Our Authenticity This is a call to embrace your authenticity. It's about recognizing your own values and making choices that reflect your true self. It's an invitation to step away from old patterns and embrace the growth and potential that come with authenticity. Your Journey Forward As we navigate this transformative period, remember that you have the agency to shape your path. It's about being present, making conscious choices, and aligning with your genuine self. Thank you for being part of this journey. Let's embrace this time of change with openness and authenticity. Warm regards, Stephanie Canavesio P.S. Your journey is uniquely yours. Trust in your ability to navigate this period of change with awareness and authenticity. This is a public episode. ReDiscover Your Inner Harmony: Join My 'Path to Wholeness' Online Circle

Hello, dear friends, I am so happy to extend a special invitation to you all. I'm launching an online circle titled "Path to Wholeness (https://www.paua.life/path-to-wholeness-stephanie-canavesio)", a heartfelt journey I've been facilitating in Ibiza for the past three years, now accessible to you from the comfort of your home. In our lives, the journey toward self-discovery and true connection is often interspersed with challenges, conflicts, and periods of stagnation. Yet, it's through these very experiences that we find a deeper connection with ourselves. In today's world, filled with uncertainty, many of us feel a sense of numbness, a loss of direction, and confusion. The antidote to these feelings lies within us, in discovering our inner connection. I'm excited to offer this online circle as a space where we can meet weekly to share and explore various themes such as navigating emotions, finding safety within our bodies, practicing self-compassion, and learning to listen empathetically to others. Each of us has unique insights and experiences, and through sharing, we can resonate and learn from each other, fostering empathic witnessing and healing. Thanks for reading Presence Embodied with Stephanie Canavesio! Subscribe for free to receive new posts and support my work. In the second half of this video, I guide you through a practical meditation—a short five-minute practice to help you reconnect with yourself. It's a gentle process of attuning to your body, releasing tension, and fostering a sense of peace and presence. This practice is especially beneficial during overwhelming times, allowing you to slow down and deeply engage with your inner self. For eight weeks, we'll gather online once a week, and each session will be recorded for your convenience. Our gatherings will begin with meditation, followed by open discussions around our themes, and a safe space for sharing, expressing, and listening. I'll be incorporating the principles of Compassionate Inquiry, as taught by Gabor Mate, alongside my own practices of presence and heart-centered awareness. You will receive 8 sessions in a powerful group container for a fraction of the cost compared to individual sessions. Payment plans available (https://www.paua.life/path-to-wholeness-stephanie-canavesio). “Path to Wholeness” Online Circle Agenda Week 1: Establishing a Safe and Connected Environment * Focus: Exploring the meaning of personal and collective safety, understanding the body's natural responses to stress, and fostering initial group connections. Breaking Free: Detaching from Old Programs & Embracing Self-Leadership in a Time of Psychedelic Expansion

I am writing to share with you a heart-to-heart conversation from the recent "Stewards of the Sacred (https://www.stewardsofthesacred.com/)" event, which was an exploration of self-leadership, ritual, and purpose in our rapidly expanding psychedelic era. In this intimate dialogue with Natasja Pelgrom, I unfolded the pages of my own story, hoping to illuminate the path for others seeking healing and self-empowerment.In our time together, I opened up about my own transformation. Once disconnected from my body and spirit, I used my personal struggle with trauma as a catalyst for growth. I've learned that healing requires the bravery to face ourselves and the dedication to embrace the slow, mindful practice of presence. It is in the stillness that we find the power of choice—the power to respond with wisdom rather than react from past programming.A pivotal moment in my journey was the realization of the need for sobriety. Four days after letting go of alcohol, I experienced a spiritual awakening that taught me the profound impact substances can have on our spiritual and emotional well-being. My personal practices, including meditation and microdosing, served as gateways to deeper self-awareness and healing.I also reflected on the collective shift we are experiencing. There is a burgeoning openness to discussing once-taboo topics like trauma, psychological programming, and ancestral patterns. This is a sign of the times—of our readiness to confront and heal the wounds that have long been buried within our collective psyche. Here are some takeaways from our conversation that I hope will resonate and guide you:The Essence of Choice: Recognizing that we have the ability to choose is a profound realization. It asks us to slow down and be fully present with what is, distinguishing between reactions based on past hurts and responses that align with our inner truth.Sobriety as a Gateway: Sobriety opened the door to a deeper spiritual connection for me. It may not be the path for everyone, but it's worth exploring how substances might be holding you back from fully experiencing your spiritual potential.Cultural Shift: There's a palpable change in how we approach mental health and spirituality. The growing willingness to address trauma and engage in healing conversations is a testament to our evolution toward a more compassionate society. I invite you to join me in this collective journey of breaking free, cultivating a compassionate self-leadership that honors our sacredness, and embracing our soul's deepest callings. "Only when compassion is present, will we allow ourselves to truly be seen."With warmth and gratitude,Stephanie Canavesio This is a public episode. Embracing the Journey: A Path to Healing and Embodied Presence

Welcome to the first episode of my podcast, "Path to Presence Embodied." I'm Stephanie Canavesio, and in this episode, I invite you on a deeply personal journey into the realm of self-awareness and healing. My story begins with a significant childhood accident that ignited my spiritual curiosity. Growing up, I faced numerous challenges, including struggles with bulimia and substance abuse, while living in New York and Paris. These experiences left me feeling disconnected and in search of my true self. A transformative moment in my life was encountering Amma, the Hugging Saint, and exploring psychedelics like ayahuasca. These experiences were pivotal, leading to profound realizations about my fears, patterns, and the urgency for personal change. I delved deep into yoga, meditation, and the teachings of Gabor Maté, focusing on trauma, addiction, and spiritual bypassing. These practices helped me understand and embody my experiences, fostering a deeper connection with my inner self and the divine. The core theme of my podcast is embodied presence. My studies in contemplative psychotherapy and my work with various spiritual and therapeutic practices have profoundly influenced my understanding and approach to healing. In this episode, I reflect on the importance of embracing and honoring our struggles and conflicts. Acceptance, I believe, is the gateway to deeper wisdom and awareness. My passion lies in sharing my learnings and experiences with you, to assist on your own path to self-discovery and healing. Join me on this journey as I share a blend of personal anecdotes, spiritual insights, and therapeutic wisdom. My story is a testament to the transformative power of self-awareness and the continuous journey towards presence and embodiment. Thank you for being here, and I'm excited to explore this path together. Thanks for reading Presence Embodied with Stephanie Canavesio! Subscribe to receive new posts. This is a public episode.
