Medication safety in pregnancy
All things being equal, no healthcare professional is going to intentionally harm you, because we have all taken an oath to do no harm but we are all humans and are prone to errors and mistakes. Unlike in children or adults, side effects affecting the unborn child cannot be detected early enough to prevent potentially life-long damages. Thus, medication safety in pregnancy is of utmost importance. In this episode, Pharmacist Grace and Pharmacist Alison converse about safe pregnancy, conditions that require medications in pregnancy, real-life illustrations of medication use in pregnancy and tips to always remember as regards medication for pregnant women.
