This podcast is a reflection of his musical world: warm Christmas standards, romantic ballads, jazz-tinged improvisations, nostalgic classics, and the everyday tunes that filled decades of nights across Washington, D.C. Each episode celebrates the sound of a working pianist—the kind who could turn any room into a moment, any melody into a memory, and any occasion into something worth remembering. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the timeless music of a man whose hands never stopped playing and whose passion never left the keys. A rare, restored collection of performances by Paul Singleton — Washington’s Piano Man. These recordings feature Paul both as a solo pianist and as a member of several working bands throughout the 1980s, showcasing the warmth, skill, and style that defined his musical life. Much of this music comes from vintage cassette tapes and personal collections, carefully transferred and professionally preserved so these moments can be heard again in their best possible form. Some pieces survived the years better than others, and this project is dedicated to honoring what remains — pulling together the performances that weren’t damaged and restoring them with care. This podcast serves as an archive, a tribute, and a celebration of a life lived at the piano, keeping Paul’s legacy alive for family, friends, and music lovers everywhere.
