In this episode we will overview Paul's argument in Romans chapters 5-8 and get into the first piece of that discussion with Romans 5:1-11. Here Paul points out the blessings that come with being justified by faith.

Romans 4 - Justification by Faith in the Old Testament
In this episode we'll cover Romans 4 where Paul demonstrates out of the Old Testament that justification was always by faith. He uses the examples of Abraham and David to show that the law could never justify a person and that only faith was reckoned as righteousness.

Romans 2:1-3:20 - The Self-Righteous Have No Excuse
This episode covers the self-righteous persons accountability for sin. The same logic that a self-righteous person would use to hold a pagan accountable for their sin, applies to the self-righteous religious person. Paul then addresses objections that one might think provide exemptions.

Romans 1:18-32 - The Pagan is Inexcusable
We begin Paul's discussion on the gospel with his argument proving that pagans are inexcusable before God. This is a set-up as he will, in the following chapter, turn the same argument against self-righteous religious people as well.
