This podcast's mission is to discuss junior tennis with a focus on the journey and process of player development. We discuss trends in junior development and promote tennis events at all levels, including college, Futures, Challengers, ATP/WTA, and local events. We would like to invite our audience to share our experience raising competitive junior tennis players in the USA. We will discuss the highs and lows of being a Payer as we support our Players.

   Cooper Williams returns to the podcast and joins us from the capital of the ITF Futures world - Monastir, Tunisia! We first talked to Cooper in 2021 (episode 67) and have followed his success - #3 Junior ITF, top collegiate player and now winning pro titles. Cooper spent three weeks in Monastir and took home 2 first place trophies. We talk about why going to Monastir makes sense for pro players and how he manages his summer schedule.

[…] And, you know, after four years at Ohio State, he was number one in college tennis and went on. Another student, Kevin Metka, Columbus kid, Ty identified him very early on. And I think if I'm not mistaken, Kevin will kill me if I'm wrong. But he was recruited by, you know, Division III school and Ohio State. And those were the only two schools that recruited him. And Ty and the coaching staff at Ohio State helped turn him into a a two-time all-american so it's really i tell kids and families all the time it's not where you start it's where you end up and so we we look much more for traits we look for kids that are passionate about tennis we look for kids that are you know high motor kids kind of energetic and um we know if they have those attributes they'll they'll get the most out of their tennis in our program man it's impressive because i mean very impressive so so then my my next question scott help me ask this question because you'll know the record and stuff.
