Chris is the senior business development manager at Acclaim (https://accla.im/), a boutique licensed trust and corporate services provider operating from the Isle of Man. Chris and David discuss how AI is disrupting the professional services industry. Many businesses are rushing to implement AI-powered solutions without fully considering the implications and potential risks. Chris emphasises the importance of companies taking a thoughtful approach, developing internal AI policies, and ensuring that the implementation of AI is aligned with their overall business strategy. Chris provides examples of how AI can enhance various business processes. For example, firms can use AI to guide customer interaction, language translation, data analysis, and creative tasks. He also highlights the importance of training AI systems to ensure they produce authentic and genuine content and the need to consider the end-user of the AI-generated content. Furthermore, Chris discusses the implications of AI on education and knowledge sharing, suggesting that schools should focus on teaching students the skills necessary to work alongside AI, such as problem-solving, interpersonal networking, and critical thinking. He also emphasises the importance of knowledge sharing and collaboration within the business community to help navigate the opportunities and challenges presented by AI.
