گروه "پل" از گردهمآمدن جمعی از مهاجران ایرانی ساکن کانادا بنا نهاده شده است و تلاش میکند فرصتهای تازۀ همدلی و همکاری در جامعۀ مهاجر ایرانی پدید آورد. مانیفست گروه به نظر گروه "پل"، جامعۀ مهاجر ایرانی در عین داشتن هویت مشترک، از گسستهای بسیاری رنج میبرد. گاهی این گسستها آنچنان عمیق میشوند که اعضای کامیونیتی توان دیدن و بهره بردن از اشتراکات را از دست میدهند. چنین روندی به مرور افراد را به سمت انزوا و تنهایی ناخواستهای سوق میدهد و امکان کنشگری جمعی را از ما میگیرد. ما (گروه پل) بر این باوریم که از گذار شنیدنِ داستانهای یکدیگر، و کشف تجربههای مشترک، این گسستها کاهش مییابند .
