We talk about grace. We sing about grace. We say weâre saved by graceâŚ
But then we start trying to earn it.
Galatians 3:1â5 comes swinging with a question: If you began by the Spirit, why are you trying to finish by the flesh?
You received Christ by faith. You received the Spirit by faith. God began the work by faith.
So when did Christianity become a checklist of things we have to do to keep God impressed?
Works have their place. Obedience matters. Holiness matters.
But none of them purchased your salvation.
Jesus did.
We love talking about what weâre doing for GodâŚ
Maybe itâs time we talked about what God has already done for us.

For or In?
Are you living for Christ⌠or is Christ living in you?
Galatians 2:11â21 draws a hard line between performance and faith. Paul even confronts Peter when his actions stop matching the Gospelâbecause Christianity was never supposed to be about looking righteous enough.
You canât behave your way to the cross. You canât earn grace. You canât perform your way into righteousness.
âI have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.â
That changes everything.
Not religion for Him. Not righteousness for approval. But Christ in youâtransforming how you think, walk, and live.
The old you was crucified. Grace took over.
So which describes your faith?

So Whatâs My Role?
Same Gospel. Different people. Different assignments. One mission.
In Galatians 2:1â10, Paul recognizes that God had given him a specific ministryâand Peter had been given his. Neither calling was lesser. Neither needed to become the other.
God doesnât need you trying to play somebody elseâs part.
You donât need their platform. Their gift. Their audience. Their assignment.
You need to be faithful with yours.
The Gospel stays the same. The mission stays the same. But your role in it might look completely different from the person standing next to you.
So quit comparing callings and start asking:
Where has God sent me?â¨Who has He called me to reach?â¨And am I willing to do my part?
Same body. Same Gospel. Different roles.
So⌠whatâs mine?
