This is your safe space, where we provide an emphasis on three things….learning, growing, and healing. It takes a village. Each week, we'll discuss the intersectionality between the chosen topic, and how it impacts us and the communities we share. This way, we hold valuable conversations that easily translate to our personal lives and the people we care about.
For Black History Month, we are taking a pause to focus on issues that concern not only our community, but those who intend to strip away the knowledge of what these stories represent. Black history is OUR history. Let’s do the work.🖤
Some things just have to be discussed. Today, we create space to hold a vulnerable discussion about the tragedy of Nolan Wells. Instead of solely speculating on what might have happened, we unpack the reality of growing up black in the suburbs, and how this upbringing becomes a struggle within itself.
While discussing new evidence and the facts of the situation, we make room for grief, understanding, and hope as we await an independent investigation that will result in the autopsy of Nolan Wells. We wish his family and friends nothing but love and care as they navigate these tough times.

Black Creativity & Finding Your Voice
Today, we welcome to the show the phenomenal, Ms. Jeana Crump. An intellectual and dynamic speaker, Jeana leads us in discussion on several key topics that concern how we express our creative energy.
We honor Oscar Micheaux, the first-known black filmmaker in America. After sharing his impact and the gems he dropped for our generation, this conversation is grounded on curiosity. Jeana emphasizes how to build on courage to embrace that childlike creativity that we tend to suppress due to our busy, everyday lives.
Investing in yourself is hard. It's scary. But, just by being here, you ARE doing enough. Just get started, and we'll go from there.
Love to y'all, enjoy the episode!
