Hij won niet maar schoot als een komeet naar boven: "Mensen waren niet vriendelijk tegen mij in de Colruyt. Tot ik bekend werd. Daardoor heb ik een beetje een hekel gekregen aan mensen." De Colruyt: waar hij van zegt dat hij nu niet gelukkiger is dan toen hij er werkte. Intussen is hij een groot deel van zijn angsten kwijt. Anders praatte hij geen Zandloper vol.
