Two furry photographers talking about the joys and struggles of photography, fursuiting, the furry fandom — and life in general.
Instead of technical deep dives, we share what our passion feels like from behind the camera: funny stories, awkward moments, and lessons learned along the way. Perfectly safe for non-photographers, too!
Where do we draw inspiration? How do we choose our locations and themes? How much planning and intuition was involved? We've found out and so can you :)

What happens at Eurofurence...
We're back after a summer pause. It was a busy time and among other things we both went to Eurofurence (and Awoostria) to photograph and enjoy the con.
How it went? What happened? Find out in a new episode.

Slaves of the Algorith
We went for rather more relaxed chat today. It started with my frustration over unsuccessful post and went all the way over social networks to end up in galleries.
Let us know in comments if you enjoy this format, or would like to listen about any specific topic next time :)

Why would they pay you?
If you're planning to offer your photo services, especially on a crowded con where everyone has a phone and every third fur has a camera, it is the question, isn't it? Why would someone pay you for pictures he can get elsewhere for free?I've invited my returning customer and amazing fursuiter Aphinion to ask him exactly this question. What makes him comission a photographer? What counts as "good photo" for him? And what he hates during a photoshoot?Listen and find out. Have you comissioned a photographer yourself? How did it go? Are you planing to? How do you feel about it? What would help you choose? Share with us in comments! Also here's a picture from the photoshoot we mention in the podcast: https://www.patreon.com/posts/123867158

Should there be light?
I've tried to sell the idea of photographic lights to Pinsel, who's not too keen on using them.
What is external light good for and when it makes no sense? How to start when you have no experience with lighting? And can you replace it with higher ISO?
Learn about it in today's episode.Also here's a picture link I've promised (don't worry, it's unlocked): https://www.patreon.com/posts/55974818

What camera should I buy?
Chatter about gear, lens, camera bodies and lighting equipment. With slightly different photographic style, Pinsel and I are having different idea of what's important. And we actually remember we wanted to talk about how to choose a camera by the end :)

How dare you charge so much?!
Yeah, we also have an opinion regarding recent furry drama. Turns out we actually have two different opinions.
What is a photoshoot worth? How much is too much? Should your friends pay the same as other customers? When does a hobby become commerce?
We're discussing that and a lot more today.

Con photographer in natural habitat
We've both attended NFC, we've both offered photoshoots, we're both haunted by similar worries and issues that are probably shared by a lot of other photographers.
The previous episode got massively delayed because there was a ton of work, mostly on editing con photoshoots, so here's what it was like there at least!

Is it still a photo, or visual art?
Sorry about the long delay - NFC happened and then a lot of work happened so this episode ended up laying on my drive for ungodly long time. The "current drama with edited photo" is rather less current now, but no less relevant :)This episode is about editing. Why, how much and how to do it the right way. And as always, after you listen to it, you'll be none the wiser, because we're always happy to say "yes, but actually no". At least we've honestly disagreed with each other this time ;)

Something tangible
Back to the photography theme we go. Do you print your photos, or do digital copies suffice? What's it like to be selling photo calendars? When should you try and when definitely not? We're going over that in today's episode.

Zootopia 2: From Roast to Toast
WARNING - SPOILERS!
We're taking a slight detour from photography to cinematography... who are we kidding, it's just plain furry stuff - Zootopia 2 is out and we've both rushed to see it.
The title kinda spoils the results. I'm my usual grumbly negative self, Pinsel is providing second opinion. Hear it for yourself.
And don't forget to give us your own insights - do you lean towards my opinion or Pinsel's? What are your favourite moments and pet peeves? Tell us in comments!

Take a rest - if you can
The struggle of overmotivated photografurs with so much fun stuff to do and so little time. How does it affect us? What do we do to unwind? You'll learn that in today's episode.Backstage note: I was recording this at 10pm, after I returned from a training and my intention was to edit it and have it ready by midnight. After the talk, I've decided it can wait :)

The Art of the Unscripted
Pinsel was busy, so I've invited a guest whose work I deeply admire, because unlike me, he really works with the moment. No complicated setup, no costumes, just wonderful snapshots that capture life.
After due consideration, I've kept parts of original recording I'd normally edit out, because it's Khaki at his best (and me at my worst), so enjoy a little peek behind the scenes of recording :)
We'll talk about:
- Consent in spontaneous photography
- How to plan the unplanned
- Photographer as social actor
- And what an unplanned result can be like

Pumpking chaos a.k.a. Business as usual
This time there's going to be a bit of monologue - a story about what a preparation for a photoshoot shouldn't look like but often does in case of FurCPhoto (but not Pinsel).
The results are here (they are on patreon, but unlocked of course):

Why are we even doing this?
One of our listeners suggested a topic - does fursuit photography get the same kind of appreciation as furry art? Do cellphones ruin photography in general?
We're not sure if our opinion will be popular, but here's what we think - and why we still want to grab a camera and go photographing.

Not what we usually do
We've both got involved in photographing something outside our usual comfort zone. Pinsel got to photograph a friend's wedding, FurCPhoto was also approached by a friend, for some family photos.
How did it go? What did we learn? Listen and find out.

Oh no, I've messed up!
Topics we touched during our not so structured chat:- Confidence about your photos- What if you feel you've messed up?- Is it time to break down yet?- Approaching a fursuiter when you're a beginner
As always, we'd love any feedback or ideas regarding next episodes!

This was supposed to be about a photoshoot...
Our first episode! What happens when we start talking about a photoshoot, but can't resist commenting on every topic we brush against? Find out for yourself :)It was fun and we can't wait to make more. It would be a tremendous help if you could provide some feedback. What did you like? What not so much? What topics would you like to hear about in future?Topics we touched during our not so structured chat:- Expression of suit vs. suiter inside- Why photographers photograph and why do people get photographed- How a photographer feels in front of camera- Photographer after a con
