Platinum songwriter and producer Balewa Muhammad reveals the music industry's hidden truths on The Kenny D Show, sharing his journey from college dropout to creating hits for Whitney Houston, Britney Spears, and Chris Brown. In this episode, the T-Neck, New Jersey native exposes how social media destroyed artist development, why split sheets create studio drama, and which record executives issue the worst 360 deals. Kenny D dives deep into Balewa's early days with Lucas Skywalker in Miami, working alongside legends like Betty White and Gloria Estefan, plus his starstruck moment recording with Whitney Houston that required Babyface to step in. The conversation explores R&B's comeback potential through ballads, why artists need songwriters regardless of talent, and Balewa's prediction that love songs will return as people crave emotional soundtracks. Motown Roots, Prison Time, and a Mission to Save Kids
Detroit's Myron Fountaine survived 20 years behind bars for armed robbery and emerged as "The Prison Doctor," transforming at-risk youth across America on The Kenny D Show. In this episode, the son of legendary Motown saxophonist Eli Fountaine shares his journey from privileged music industry kid to convicted felon to nationwide youth intervention specialist. Myron breaks down his proven methods for entering homes where police struggle, confronting violent children who threaten parents with weapons, and teaching discipline through love-based correction. Kenny D explores the shocking decline of American families, the music industry's role in promoting destructive messages to children, and why modern parenting has abandoned biblical principles. The conversation covers Myron's celebrity musician father's legacy with Marvin Gaye and The Temptations, the prison-to-purpose transformation that sparked his calling, and his upcoming 50-state tour to recruit men for his youth intervention army. Myron also reveals his billion-view social media success, the copycat accounts trying to steal his identity, and his uncompromising stance against industry executives who profit from corrupting children through music and entertainment.
