Field Notes are his lo-fi musings on recent fishing forays, writing, painting and anything else in-between. Expect a dash of humour, fabulous mistakes, daft behaviour and bad ideas, as he fishes his way through life.
Warning occasionally there may be some bad language but i do try to keep a lid on it........however sometimes when you embrace both triumph & disaster - the air can turn a blueish hue.
After slugging it out with home water & getting a pounding - we hit the road to Carlise in hope of a change in fortune. Two days away for under £100 with the slim chance of a fish. I nearly embrace new tech and we all find comfort in Witherspoons.

Field Notes - Wet !
With the river out of the picture due to the heatwave I relive my youth and go tench fishing. When the rain arrives we enjoy the whiskey olympics and company. Fish are caught and lost and patience is tested.
