Hockey talk that doesn't stop when the horn does. This playlist covers the whole ride: Post Whistle: A Playoff Beards Podcast during the NHL regular season, and Playoff Beards once the Stanley Cup Playoffs hit.
Hosted by Ryan Christensen and Adelia Chamberlain, this is where the week-to-week grind of the NHL regular season gets the full treatment—after the horn, after the hit, and definitely after cooler heads have failed to prevail. Trends, storylines, surprises, frustrations, and the moments that spark arguments long after the final whistle. Smart, loud, opinionated, and proudly fan-first. Because the game doesn't end at the whistle—and neither do the takes. 🏒✨
Then the ice gets colder and the takes get hotter. When the playoffs arrive, so does Playoff Beards—hockey talk with frost on its breath and fire in its takes. Ryan and Adelia dive headfirst into the madness of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs: loud debates, emotional swings, beard-based superstition, and fan logic that only makes sense after triple overtime. No suits—just passion, pain, and playoff hockey. 🏒❄️

2026-27 NHL Season Preview: Predictions, Contenders & Islanders Outlook | Post Whistle
The puck's about to drop, and Ryan has thoughts. A lot of them. On this solo episode of Post Whistle, Ryan breaks down everything you need to know heading into the 2026-27 NHL season. He goes division by division to sort out the real contenders from the pretenders, weighs in on which teams won the offseason (and which ones should be nervous), and makes his picks for the breakout stars, bounce-back players, and rookies who'll have everyone talking by December. And yes, as a proud Islanders fan, he's got plenty to say about the Isles: what's working, what needs fixing, and whether this is finally the year. He'll also take a look at the rivalries that make hockey what it is, because some teams are good friends, but the best ones are better rivals. (Rangers fans, consider yourselves warned.) He's putting his bold predictions on the record, so come back in April to see how they held up. Grab a seat, lace up, and let's get into it. 🏒

Playoff Beards | Stanley Cup Finals Preview: Vegas or Carolina, Who Takes the Cup Home?
Snark and Ryan are back with the biggest show of the year — it's time to preview the 2026 Stanley Cup Finals.
On one side, the Carolina Hurricanes have put together one of the most dominant postseason runs in decades. After going 12-1 through three rounds, sweeping two opponents and barely breaking a sweat on their way to the Final, the Canes are back in the championship round for the first time since 2006 — when Rod Brind'Amour was the captain lifting the Cup. Now he's the coach trying to bring it home. That's a storyline.
On the other side, the Vegas Golden Knights are doing what the Vegas Golden Knights do. John Tortorella, who took over with just eight games left in the regular season, has this team playing some of the best hockey of their short franchise history. They ended the Colorado Avalanche's Presidents' Trophy season in a four-game sweep and are riding a six-game win streak into the Final. The Golden Knights have now made three Cup Final appearances in nine years — and they know exactly how to win one.
Both of these teams play a physical, suffocating defensive style, which means this series is going to come down to goaltending, special teams, and who breaks first. Carter Hart has been the story in Vegas' net all postseason. Frederik Andersen has three shutouts for Carolina and a save percentage over .930. Something has to give.
Offensively, Mitch Marner is the leading scorer in the entire playoffs. Jack Eichel isn't far behind. But Carolina's second line — Taylor Hall, Logan Stankoven, and Jackson Blake — has been the most dangerous unit nobody's talking about outside of Raleigh.
Snark and Ryan get into all of it: the paths to the Final, the key matchups, the X-factors, and their picks for how this series ends.
The beards are getting longer. The stakes don't get higher than this.
