At Plymouth Covenant Church, our mission is to be followers of Jesus who go and make disciples through the power of the Holy Spirit. We want to see this happen in our church, community, and beyond as we share the love of Jesus. We gather to worship God together and then go out to share Him with others, creating a ripple effect that spreads the love of Jesus. Philippi was a Roman colony, filled with people who were proud of their citizenship and eager to reflect the culture of Rome in their city. Paul takes that familiar idea and lifts the eyes of the church to something far greater. He reminds them that their truest citizenship is not earthly, but heavenly. And with that identity comes a calling: to bring the life and culture of heaven into the world around them.
