Through 1 Timothy 4:14–16, we explore four responsibilities Paul gave Timothy: do not neglect the gift, practice and immerse yourself in its development, watch yourself while carrying it, and persist.
Brandon reflects on balancing creativity with marriage, fatherhood, ministry, and work; learning to treat rest as part of stewardship; and continuing to develop through training and unfamiliar creative environments. The conversation also addresses what happens when a gift grows faster than a person’s character, spiritual life, or well-being.
Using your gift for God is not the same as spending personal time with God. Creatives need prayer, Scripture, discipleship, accountability, and space to become healthy enough to carry what God has placed inside them.
