Pod 366: A Weird Movies Podcast is, as the title suggests, a podcast devoted to weird movies--from surrealist and cult film to the stranger side of exploitation--from the team at 366 Weird Movies (366weirdmovies.com). Each week we cover weird movie news and new releases, whether theatrical, streaming, or out on physical media. We also have a wide array of guests: past interviewees include Christiane Cegavaske, Damon Packard, Cory McAbee, Everything is Terrible's Commodore Gilgamesh and Ghoul Skool, Andrew Rakich, Rock! Shock! Pop!'s Ian Jane, and many more. Join us for the weekly weirdness!
Greg and Pete catch you up on a frighteningly exciting week of weird movie releases! In theaters, more than 50 years after it was made, we can finally see Ken Russel's "The Devils" the way the director intended it! Note that this release is this week only (Oct. 16-22), so if you want to catch it look for a theater near you soon. And anime classic "Spirited Away" is also in theaters in re-release from Oct. 17-21, so plan accordingly (and maybe order the small popcorn this week, you're going to need the space). If you're not the cinemagoing type, there are plenty of weird options debuting on home video, starting with Casper Kelly's friendly killer unicorn slasher "Buddy" on VOD (beware: premium pricing). On Blu-ray, the insane, all-animal mask period piece imaginary De Sade biopic "Marquis" makes its first-ever bow on Blu-Ray: Colin will be at attention! Also, Spanish horror movie "Morbo"; British horror "The Shout" in a Criterion Collection edition; and a 4K UHD upgrade of the outrageous horror-comedy "Frankenhooker." Spooky!

Pod 366, Ep. 189: Xavier Terhorst's Vegas Eyes Look at These People, John Lilly, and the Barrio Lady (Video)
Xavier Terhorst, director of the microbudget "My Vegas Eyes," joins Greg and Giles to talk about his hallucinatory post-apocalyptic debut feature. But first, the trio discuss this week's new weird movies: independent exemplar Cory McAbee is back with a very limited run of his Lincoln assassination musical "These People"; Harmony Korine-backed Colombian punk movie "Barrio Triste" shows up on VOD; "Lady," a wild UK comedy about an eccentric aristocrat who turns invisible, can be found on Apple TV; the documentary "John Lilly and the Earth Coincidence Office" boasts a host of weird movie connections; and finally, we mention that there's a 4K UHD upgrade of Abel Ferrara's "The Addiction" out now (and indulge in a little Ferrara discussion). Then, Xavier Terhorst goes into detail about the process of making his microbudget epic, life in Vegas, advice for aspiring filmmakers, and where to eat in Sin City.
ERRATA
*Sian Clifford is indeed the female lead of "Lady." Sian is pronounced (approximately) as "Shawn." It's the Welsh equivalent of Jane. The male lead is Laurie Kynaston, which caused Greg some confusion, since Laurie is an exclusively feminine name in the US.
