Checking in on spring football, hoops roster rebuild (Episode 250)

We’re about two thirds of the way through Kirby Moore’s first set of spring football practices, and while there isn’t a lot of video out there for us to judge with our own eyes, there are plenty of first hand reports thanks to increased media access this year. It doesn’t seem like the offense has been lighting it up. But that’s ok, we think? We also talk about running back Kirby Vorhees’ eye-popping statement: ”It’s the best defense I’ve been a part of.”  Then, we move on to David Riley’s remake of the basketball team after almost the entire roster hit the portal. There’s one new guy in particular who we’re damn excited about: Division 2 transfer Lazerek Houston. We also take a brief look at the other four players who have committed and try to draw some conclusions about how Riley is trying to rebuild in a program that doesn’t have a ton of resources. Plus (of course) beer talk.
