[…] And so two years later, I went back to UCLA, finished my art degree, painting, sculpture and graphic arts. But after that first short story sale, I knew I was going to be a writer and I wanted to be a writer in television. I'd read The Making of Star Trek. when I was a teenager. And that was the first book I ever read about a TV series and how it was made. And that started planting the seeds that I might want to be a writer, producer in television.
