<p>Pada bagian kedua ini, Puthut EA lebih dalam lagi membahas fakta-fakta pahit industri perbukuan. Dari persoalan harga, pembajakan, negara yang gagal memberi perlindungan, hingga angka-angka nominal yang sulit membuat penulis sejahtera. </p> <p>Di sisi lain, jika bisnis buku itu rumit, rupanya bisnis media digital lebih rumit lagi. “Kalau buku masih ada barangnya, jual rugi masih dapat duit, di media kan enggak,” papar kepala suku Mojok ini. Siasat Puthut EA jadi Penulis di Indonesia
<p>Belakangan, mungkin anda lebih sering menonton Puthut EA sebagai penanya ketimbang jadi narasumber. Tapi tidak untuk kali ini.Sekarang giliran PolGov Talks menghadirkan host Putcast ini untuk bercerita tentang pengalaman hidup dan pandangannya terhadap dunia literasi di Indonesia hari ini. </p> <p>Selain sebagai penulis, ada banyak atribut yang sebetulnya bisa disematkan kepada ayah satu anak ini. Mulai dari peneliti, pendiri media, penulis, aktivis, fasilitator, kepala suku, hingga penggemar AS Roma. Tapi ia mengaku lebih memilih disebut sebagai penulis. </p> <p>Meski telah banyak judul buku yang ia terbitkan, ia justru menyadari peluang untuk bisa sejahtera dengan menjadi penulis di Indonesia sangatlah kecil. Berdasarkan riset kecil-kecilan yang ia lakukan, hanya 2% penulis di Indonesia yang sejahtera. Sehingga apabila ada 100 penulis, hanya 2 diantaranya yang bisa sejahtera. </p> <p>Lantas, kenapa ini bisa terjadi? Lalu apakah profesi penulis masih layak untuk dijalani?</p>
