Namsfogden i Agder møter mange som har blitt gjeldsofre i ung alder fordi de manglet opplæring i privatøkonomi. Hun vil ha privatøkonomi som eget fag i skolen, og oppfordrer foreldre til å tidlig involvere barna i familiens økonomi og hva det koster å leve. Selv skal hun ut på skoler med historier om hva en skakkjørt økonomi kan føre til.
