Embrace the Darkness: New Moon in Scorpio

Hello Friends! We have a super-charged New Moon in Scorpio today, at 28°11”, and there’s so much going on in the sky with Mercury rx approaching a cazimi in the same degree as the lunation; as well as a Grand Water Trine. There’s a surplus of Water energy washing through the skies as I write this, and so this little podcast I put together for you I offer with the intention of companioning you in this Scorpionic darkness. Darkness, not as something to be feared, but rather embraced. An invitation to enter the cave, and explore the current of our richly embodied and beautifully, emotional humanness. Grab a cuppa and a blanket for extra comfort. Warmest New Moon wishes to you luvs! Antoinette www.pomegranateastrology.com This is a public episode. Great (Un)Expectations - Jupiter conjunct Uranus in Taurus

This is a podcast on the current time-space weather we're having for the week of April 15-21st which leads us into, arguably, the biggest aspect of the year: Jupiter conjunct Uranus in Taurus. What I meant to add is that Mars at 22 degrees of Pisces will be in a harmonious and near exact sextile to the Jupiter-Uranus union at 21 Taurus. This is significant in a number of ways, not least of all because Mars has been the host of our Aries eclipses of late. And our Warrior archetype has been dominating the astrological landscape during recent events. This is a public episode. Full Moon in Cancer: Creating Sanctuary & Choosing Your Own Adventure

FULL MOON IN CANCER @4°58’: 27 DEC, 11:33 AM AEDT | 27 DEC, 9:33 AM NZDT | 27 DEC, 1:33 AM CET | 26 DEC, 4:33 PM PT | 26 DEC, 6:33 PM CT) Full Moon features: Moon in Cancer sextile Jupiter in Taurus, Moon in Cancer trine Saturn in Pisces. Themes: the Heart of Abundance, the Heart & Hearthstone, creating sanctuary, multi-generational wisdom & lineage. In these final days of December 2023 we’re approaching the Solstice - a liminal space of deep, old magic & myth. Rebirth & reflection. I chat a bit about this as well as other astrology in this podcast. An informal, rambling chat. But in a nutshell, this is the gist of the time-space weather…. The astrology lately has been loud and busy. There’s been a cacophony of voices, content, busy-ness and just…noise. This is a Sag Season toned by the co-presence of a fiesty, idealistic Mars. Mercury is in Capricorn currently, & now retrograde. This grounded Mercury is offering us a golden opportunity to examine our plans, get organised & deal with what is. In Bone Mother Saturn’s sign of Capricorn, our wise psychopomp imbues our communications with a mature responsibility and spareness that can help us mop up some of the excesses from Mercury’s travels through Sag. This is especially pointed considering Mercury is going to once more move (back) into Sag on the 23rd of December. With the Solstice on the 22nd of December, this magical moment is potentised just hours later by a Mercury cazimi. A cazimi is an astrological term for when a planet enters the heart of the Sun. The Sun King bestows a fiery blessing upon that planet, & we’re offered clarity or a stroke of insight on some issue that’s radiantly illuminated. So Sol in Capricorn blesses our rx Hermes as our swift Messenger makes a return to Sagittarius. With Mercury in the Mergoat, we have the Bones of the matter - a spartan lack of indulgence & pragmatisim, and taking responsbility for our communications & how we structure our thoughts & responses. However, Mercury gets a bit scattered & less disciplined in Sag where its debilitated. when Mercury backs into the Archer & meets Mars with His zealous arrows of desire, we might find that we have a lot of fat to trim from a multiplicity of ideas. We may see a clash of fundamentalisms in regards to our ideals, beliefs, & what we regards as Truth or truths. We also may see more impulsive speech & Foot in Mouth Syndrome - particularly in online spaces where there can be a lot reactivity. As we move closer towards the end of the calendar year, we have a truly beautiful Full Moon in Cancer at 4°58’. Finally! We have a lunation that’s not dominated by the sharp nails-&-knives of Mars! La Lune in Cancer is in the warm belly of Her Hearth & Home. If each lunation is a touchstone, this Full Moon is the Heart(h)stone. A return to deep remembrance & a reset. It’s the utterly gorgeous sextile between the Moon & Jupiter in Taurus that makes this lunation lovely. It’s a beautifully supportive, hopeful, nourishing & uplifting sextile between two planets who are in their mutual exaltation rulers. Both want the best for one another, & Moon-Jupiter connections are about as good as it gets. There’s a generosity & spirit of kindness here. Healing, Home (that which is within or with others), sanctuary, memory, ancestral connections (not just literal ancestors - but the more-than-human too), myth, magic, kindness & compassion…these are qualities we can attune to with this Full Moon in Cancer. And the Moon’s trine to Saturn brings temperance & humility to the mix. It’s still a mixed bag with a Merc-Mars conjunction in the last decan of Sagittarius…communcations & travel might get a bit tangled. Mars has an awe-inspiring courage & valour here, but Mercury struggles & gets a little over-dramatic in this zodiacal terrain. However, as I mention in this episode, it’s very much a case of choose your own adventure for this lunation. We can be mindful & seek peace. There’s an opportunity to build genuinely beautiful memories with those we love, & to cultivate a sanctuary within that helps to fortify our hearts during challenging times. In the podcast I suggest creating an ancestor altar as a way to channel the wise & generous energy of this Full Moon. Overall, it’s an auspicious lunation that offers a prelude to Jupiter stationing direct (at that emphatic 5° of Taurus) on the very last day of the year. A Jupiter that will be hosted by a Venus alighting in Sagittarius - fun-loving, adventurous, enthusiastic & growth-oriented. Though this Venus can’t see Jupiter in Taurus, & there could be a certain amount of Bacchanalian excess, this Centaur’s Venus certainly tones the New Year (Julian calendar) celebrations with a playful, hopeful & festive spirit of joy. Jupiter’s narrative through Taurus for 2024 is much bigger, bolder & more significant than it has been so far in 2023. More on that in the New Year! I wish you dear friends, lots of love & blessings for the holidays. I wish you a beautiful Solstice & Full Moon, & may peace, freedom, & joy be with you through all yours days. See you in 2024 luvs! The Time-Space Weather, & a New Moon in Scorpio

Key points & themes for the New Moon at 20°43’ of Scorpio on November 13: reactivity & volatile emotions. Rupturing liberation. Rebellious breakthroughs or breaks. With power & strength comes responsibility. Skilful means & circumspection. Transforming poison into medicine. Beauty as medicine. Hey friends. I hope you’re faring well. This past month has been…a lot, hey? In this podcast episode I outline some of the current time-space weather. Venus entered Libra last night, (AEDT) which is a blessing indeed, and a moment of grace & relief as we travel through Scorpio Season & emerge from the eclipse shadow. Addendum: I meant to add, that when Mercury enters Sag on November 10 - in fact, any planets entering Sag through November & December - will make a hard and immediate square with Saturn in Pisces. This may present as - initially - a test of faith, beliefs, & enthusiasm. This will pass quickly, but can feel like a bit of a dampening of spirits. It’s also possibly helpful though, offering us a cooling reality check as we move through the fired up & inspired Sagittarian landscape. Especially when Mars enters Sag on November 24. When the Moon Meets Saturn in Pisces: Selkies & Shipwrecks

This podcast has been edited and re-uploaded with correct audio file As we head into a Full Moon in Aries, La Lune runs the gauntlet past Saturn in Pisces. This monthly meeting of the Moon and Saturn tones our experience of these Piscean days until Saturn moves into Aries in Feb 2026. This podcast is a mythic reflection on Saturn in Pisces, incorporating a piece I wrote around 18 months ago on the old selkie myths of Celtic folklore & how we can see these stories as expressing a Piscean archetype - particularly Saturn in the first decan of Pisces, where it currently resides. Original music composed for and included in this podcast is by Maggie Alley (@maggiealleymusic) Reference is briefly made to the song, ‘Mermaids’, by Florence and the Machine. Released in April 2023, a few weeks after Saturn’s ingress into Pisces. Image credit": Kate Leiper Wishing you all a happy and peaceful Full Moon in Aries.
