Also today, Woodbine Thoroughbred trainer Julia Carey makes her first appearance on Ponies 24-7 following a twenty twenty-six season that has produced eleven victories and twenty-eight in-the-money finishes. Julia discusses how she became involved in Thoroughbred racing, the mentors who helped her develop as a trainer, and some of the horses she has worked with throughout her career. Then, five-time Canadian Driver of the Year James MacDonald returns to the show as he continues to lead the country's harness drivers in purse earnings. MacDonald has driven the winners of more than eight point one million dollars this season while recording approximately two hundred seventy-five victories. James reflects on his twenty twenty-six campaign, how his results compare with previous seasons, and the goals he sets for himself each year. He also discusses his family's involvement in Standardbred racing, some of the best horses he has driven, and how he manages the demands of competing throughout the racing season. James also looks ahead to tonight's Breeders Crown eliminations at Eldorado Scioto Downs, where he will drive reigning Horse of the Year Beau Jangles in the three-year-old pacing colt division, with a place in next week's final on the line.
