<p>Helen Schneider landete Anfang der 80er mit "Rock’n’Roll Gypsy" in Deutschland einen Top 10-Hit und in der Schweiz sogar auf Platz 1 der Charts. Damals war die gebürtige US-Amerikanerin ein gern und häufig gesehener Gast in POP Rocky und wurde von den POP Rocky Lesern erstmals 1981 mit dem begehrten Hammerschlumpf geehrt. Helen erinnert sich an diese Zeit damals, an denkwürdige Auftritte in Fernsehsendungen und in ihr unbekannten deutschen Kleinstädten. Sie erzählt, wie Udo Lindenberg sie in New York entdeckte und wie Désirée Nosbusch ihr zu einer zweiten Karriere verhalf.
