We were SUPPOSED to talk about D.B. Cooper… somehow we ended up doing another 9/11 episode 😭
On Episode 39 of Pop Ya Sh*t, Quran & Egypt switch things up with a true-crime/story-mode episode centered around one of the craziest unsolved mysteries ever: D.B. Cooper.
In 1971, a man boarded a flight, claimed he had a bomb, demanded $200,000 and parachutes, jumped out of the plane — and was never definitively identified.
So naturally we had questions.
Would we have taken the bomb threat seriously? Did Cooper actually survive the jump? How much easier was it to disappear before modern technology? And what would we have done if we were passengers on that plane?
Then somehow D.B. Cooper leads us down a completely different rabbit hole involving 9/11, aviation security, U.S. foreign policy, conspiracy theories, intelligence failures and why learning more about history as an adult can completely change the questions you ask.

I Can Explain
We probably should’ve kept both of these stories to ourselves 😭
Egypt: “So I stole the money.”
Me: “So I took a shit.”
And somehow… those are only the BEGINNING of both stories.
One of us stole $400 from their mother and had to pull off a last-second mission to put it back before she noticed.
The other had an unfortunate situation on the train after New Year’s Eve and came up with possibly the WORST escape plan ever created.
I’m not saying anything else. 😂
