This week on Popcorn & Sidequests we dive into anime, nostalgia and the shows that shaped so many childhoods.
I talk about growing up in Namibia without the famous SABC 2 anime afternoons, discovering Digimon through M-Net, getting introduced to Pokémon through Simba chips, and why I still believe Digimon is superior.
I also discuss Mortal Kombat II, why Jon Bernthal remains the perfect Punisher, revisiting WandaVision during my MCU rewatch, and the horror film I’m most excited to watch this weekend.
Most importantly, this episode is built around your anime opinions, hot takes, favourite openings, nostalgic memories and the anime that got you hooked in the first place.
