Why Do We Take Communion Every Week? | Why Do We Do That?

Why do we take communion? Why the bread and the cup? And why did Jesus tell His followers to remember Him? In Week 3 of Why Do We Do That?, we look at the Lord's Supper and what it means to remember Jesus together. Communion points us back to the cross, inward toward our hearts, around at the body of Christ and forward to Jesus' return. We take communion because we are forgetful people and the Gospel is too important to forget.

Why Do We Sing in Church? | Why Do We Do That?

Why do we sing every week? Is singing simply part of the service, or is there a deeper purpose behind it? In Week 2 of Why Do We Do That?, we explore the biblical purpose of corporate singing and how worship reorients our attention toward God, teaches us truth, unites us as His people and gives us a voice to express our gratitude. We don't sing because we have a good worship service. We sing because we have a great God.

Why Do We Go to Church Every Week? | Why Do We Do That?

Why does gathering together matter? Is church simply something we attend, or are we part of something bigger? In Week 1 of Why Do We Do That?, we look at why Christians gather and how church moves us from isolation to community, spectator to participant, and consumer to servant. Church isn't merely somewhere we go; it's a people to whom we belong. 📖 Hebrews 10:24-25
