Warning! Pornographic Books Invade Classrooms

This program comes as a stern warning! As children around the nation are preparing to go back into the classroom, this Crosstalk was broadcast to alert you that schools nationwide are carrying books with graphic sexual content. These books have worked their way into classrooms along with both school and public libraries. By design, these books are falling into the hands of children for the purpose of grooming them under the guise of education. Karen England is engaged in launching a new, nationwide initiative that is focused on helping citizens challenge these sexually explicit books in public school libraries. She is president of the Capitol Resource Institute. They are a pro-family public policy organization with a focus on education, religious freedom, parental rights, and life. They educate and strengthen families and engage in public policy. Karen is also founder of the initiative, Take Back the Classroom. Karen noted that this problem is far and wide, with red states often being the worst ones. Her organization has found over 1.4 million sexually explicit books across the nation. The TechNoSin Challenge

Gary Becker is the director of TechNoSin.org, an organization committed to point each eternal soul to the Cross of Jesus, to point people to the holy character of Jesus particularly in our digital world and to get people established in Bible teaching churches. Technology is on the increase and we can hardly keep up with its development. With the proliferation of technology also comes increased access to websites, pop-ups and ads designed to lure and derail people from living a life of purity. On that note, Jim quoted some research from LifePlan. They indicate that we live in a "pornified culture." They report that more people view internet pornography every month than Netflix, Amazon and Twitter combined. In 2016 people watched 4.6 billion hours of pornography at just one of the more than 42 million pornographic websites. That's the equivalent of 524,000 years spent watching porn in a single year! Gary began by warning listeners that every technological platform, even the good ones, are out to addict everyone. He also noted that although the person you may be viewing is smiling, there could be someone off-camera pointing a gun at them because they're involved in human trafficking. The victim in the picture or video is someone's daughter or child. Gary is on a mission to "G"-rate the internet. In this case that "G" also includes the letters "o" and "d" so that every screen choice would be pleasing to God from a heart that's filled with the Holy Spirit and controlled by the Scriptures and God's plan for our life, purity and holiness.
