Port City Church is a local church in a Halifax, Nova Scotia that seeks to teach the gospel clearly. We exist to help others encounter Jesus and follow His way.
You want your life to count. But other people’s opinions, the pull of comfort, and the fear of what might happen can keep you holding back. Imagine being free to live with a clear purpose, give generously, and love people without constantly protecting yourself.Writing from prison, Paul describes a freedom his captors couldn’t touch. In Philippians 1:12-30, we explore what he found and how what you’re living for shapes how freely you can live.

Philippians – Ep 01 – Philippians 1:1-11
What if joy isn't as illusive as you think? We spend so much of our lives chasing joy, convinced we'll finally find it when our circumstances change. But writing from a prison cell, the apostle Paul reveals a joy that suffering couldn't steal. In Philippians 1:1–11, we discover that lasting joy grows from what God is doing in us, not what is happening around us. Because what is immediately true doesn't have to get the final word.

Sent & Sending – Ep 04 – 1 Corinthians 12:12-27
In 1 Corinthians 12:12–27, Paul reminds us that the church is not a place for spectators, but a living body in which every believer has a part to play. United to Christ and one another, God has intentionally given each of us a place and purpose in His body.As we love, serve, and build one another up, the life of Christ becomes visible through us and spills outward into His mission. Every believer belongs, every believer is needed, and every believer has a part to play.
