Based on its approved NDCs, India now stands committed to reduce Emissions Intensity of its GDP by 45 percent by 2030. MSME sector contributes close to 30% of India’s GDP. MSME products and services contributes close to 50% to the total export India does. MSMEs are part of the value chain for large companies. From carbon accounting perspective, they contribute to companies, scope 3 emissions, which in many industries accounts for almost 60 to 70% of companies total carbon footprint.
