[…] There's always an opportunity to rebalance. It's a prudent thing from a long-term investment standpoint. From a bond market perspective, you want to have something in your portfolio to provide ballast, to provide income to provide that opportunity to tolerate some of that volatility in the market. I'd say the reason why the 60-40 portfolio was said to be dead was because you had simultaneous drawdowns in stocks and bonds. That's something that's incredibly rare. And still, when even you look at the bond market, we could look at the US Ag, the US Aggregate Index, which is the collection of all investment-grade securities in the market. […]
