Postcard from Spain

About Postcard from Spain

A magazine programme I record for Hospital Radio Basingstoke about life in Spain to where I retired 19 years ago, covering many interesting facts about my adopted country and aspects of day-to-day life for a non-Spaniard. If you are planning to buy a holiday home or retire here, you will find lots of useful background information but I will not be covering the complex visa or residency rules.

'Where Fontilles Holds Its Stories' - a poem

In a recent episode I talked about the history of Fontilles, originally a leper colony as it was called at the time but now a hospital for the elderly and a worldwide centre of excellence in the treatment of leprosy. A very talented lady called Julie who lives in my village of Orba has written a beautiful poem which, even if you have never visited Fontilles, will paint a wonderful picture of the place.
