You do not want to miss this... yum!</span></p><p>To see the video version of this show, visit the Uncle Nearest facebook page.</p><p>____________________________________________________</p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">Recipe:</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">Uncle Nearest 1856 Maple Glazed Doughnuts</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">Ingredients:</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">2 Cups Powdered Sugar</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">1 Cup Maple Syrup</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">2 Tsp Uncle Nearest</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">1 Pinch of Salt</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">1 Biscuit Tube (any brand will do)</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">1 Gallon of Canola or Vegetable oil</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">3/4 Cup Flour</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">Equipment:</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">1 Lrg Pot</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">1 cooling rack or cookie sheet</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">1 kitchen tongs or butter knife</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">1 Thermometer (if you don't have one that's fine)</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">2 Medium Sized Bowls</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">Measuring Spoons/Cups</span></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">Whisk</span></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">Procedure:</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">1. Fill the pot up to 3/4 of the way and set the flame to medium heat you want the oil between 340-350 Fahrenheit. If you don't have a thermometer don't worry, to test the oil simply cut a piece of the dough off and gently place it in the oil, if it starts to fry and the color changes to a dark brown color to quick your oil is too hot, if your oil is smoking your oil is too hot, you want the dough to nicely fry turning golden brown with some bubbles on the side.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">2. While the Oil is getting hot, In a medium sized bowl add the 2 cups of powdered sugar, 1 cup of maple syrup, 2 tsp of uncle nearest, and a pinch of salt. Mix it with a whisk until the sugar has dissolved and all the ingredients are combined</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">3. Remove the dough from the tube and lay them on a cutting board, gently press them down and form a doughnut hole in the center of the dough and lay them on a floured surface, its important to lay them on a floured surface because the dough does get sticky after proofing</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">4. Let the dough proof for 5 minutes</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">5. Check the temperature of the oil, if the oil is good to go gently place your dough into the oil, it should float up and begin to fry. While the dough is frying gently baste it with the oil, this will help you reach maximum fluffiness in your doughnut making journey. You're going to fry each side of the doughnut for 1:30 min.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">6. Let your doughnuts cool down for about 3-4 min if your doughnuts are too hot the glaze will melt off too quickly</span></p><p><br></p><p><span style="color: rgb(96, 103, 112);">7. Once your doughnuts have cooled down gently grab them and dip the top piece into the Uncle Nearest Maple Glaze and give it a nice twist to evenly coat the doughnut, and place it back on the rack to let the glaze set...
