About Power of Twelve - Wednesday Weekly Word

Join us every Wednesday for just 12 minutes of a mid-week infusion in God's word. Focusing on one encouraging word for the week and one scripture based around that word, hear how it can transform your faith and how you can live out that word as you go about your week ahead. Since our beginnings, we’ve been driven by the same ideas we initially founded our Non-Profit Organization upon: Support and encouragement in the word of God in a simple way, building the lives of generations together. REMARKABLE: God leaves us amazed!

When was the last time you stopped and truly marveled at something God had done? In Luke 5:26, after witnessing Jesus heal a paralyzed man, the crowd was filled with awe and declared, "We have seen remarkable things today." In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we're looking beyond the miracle to something equally remarkable - the friendships of the men who carried their paralyzed friend to Jesus. When they couldn't get through the crowd, they didn't give up. They climbed onto the roof and lowered him right in front of Jesus! These weren't just friends who offered encouraging words. They showed up, carried his burden, and found a way. We'll explore the importance of friendships that strengthen our faith, how Jesus addressed the man's need for forgiveness before healing him, and why we should never stop recognizing God's goodness. And we'll ask ourselves two important questions: Do I have friends who help bring me closer to Jesus? And am I that kind of friend to someone else? Because sometimes the remarkable thing isn't only the miracle we're praying for. Sometimes it's the people God places in our lives who help carry us toward Him. Power of Twelve Podcast — Real Talk. REDEEM: Bought Back by Love

Galatians 4:4–5 What does it really mean to be redeemed? When we hear the word redeem, we might think about redeeming coupons, gift cards, or those reward points we've been saving forever! But biblical redemption is about something far greater. It's not about what we've earned. It's about what Jesus paid. In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we're exploring Galatians 4:4–5 and the incredible truth that God sent His Son at exactly the right time to redeem us - not only to set us free, but to welcome us into His family. We'll talk about what redemption really means, why our past mistakes don't have to define our future, and how God's grace offers forgiveness, freedom, and a new beginning. Redemption doesn't necessarily erase our history, but through Christ, it changes our relationship with God and gives us a new identity. And here's the beautiful part: We don't have to earn our place in God's family. Jesus has already paid the price for our redemption. Join us for a little laughter, real talk, and biblical encouragement as we remember that God's love is greater than our failures and His grace offers us something we could never earn on our own. FAVOR: Shield of Goodness

When you hear the word favor, what comes to mind? An answered prayer? An unexpected opportunity? A door suddenly opening? Those things can certainly be signs of God’s favor - but Psalm 5:12 gives us an even bigger picture: “For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield.” God’s favor doesn’t simply show up when everything goes our way. Scripture describes His favor as something that surrounds us. In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we talk about recognizing God’s favor not only in what He allows into our lives, but also in what He may be protecting us from. Sometimes favor is the opportunity we prayed for. Other times, it’s the opportunity that never happened. Sometimes it’s an immediate answer. Other times, it’s a delay we don't understand until much later. And yes - sometimes we’re standing in front of a closed-door thinking, “Lord, I’m pretty sure You were supposed to open that one!” But what if the closed door was the shield? Maybe some of the greatest examples of God's favor in our lives are things we only recognize looking backward - the relationship that didn't work out, the plan that changed, the delay that redirected us, or the thing we desperately wanted that we're now grateful God didn't give us. Sometimes the greatest evidence of God's favor isn't what He gave us. It's what He kept us from. Join us as we talk about trusting God with the doors He opens and the ones He closes - and learning to walk confidently knowing that His favor surrounds us like a shield.
