A show about practice — the part of golf nothing measures.
Peter Arnott has spent thousands of coaching hours asking one question: what does practice have to contain to show up on the course? He's found some answers, he's still searching, and he's made plenty of mistakes on the way. This show is him inviting you into the search.
Some episodes are Pro Practice History interviews — tour players and elite golfers walking through their practice life, junior golf to tour, what stayed and what got cut. Some are conversations with the people who shape practice — coaches and sport scientists. And some are Peter on practice design itself — what a session has to contain, and why.
Peter is a performance and practice coach and the founder of Ettle — the app that shows what kind of work your practice was.

A player I work with had been on a knockdown shot for a week and was thoroughly fed up with it.
So I asked her a question with no golf in it at all. When you meet someone new, do you trust them straight away?
She said no. Nobody does.
That is a new shot. You spend time with it, in a few different situations, and somewhere in all that you find out what it's actually like. Most players do the opposite. They learn it on the Tuesday, take it into a tournament on the Saturday, it doesn't come off, and the shot gets quietly dropped. Or they never test it at all and it lives on the range forever.
Neither of those is a problem with the player. It's a problem with the pace.
Ettle is the app in this episode. It's what tells her that week was a Build week, and what shows her a month later that she still hasn't put any heat on that shot. It opens properly in October.

Title: Pro Practice History - Aidan O'Hagan
The podcast is back. First conversation of the new run: Aidan O'Hagan, a professional golfer, on how his practice changed as he moved up — and what most golfers get wrong about theirs.
Inside:
The shot that went left three times in a round, and what it taught him about where to aim his practice
Why he stopped grinding on technique and moved to a 70/30 split
External focus vs internal focus — what he thinks about over the ball now
Standards and consequences: what a practice session has to cost to mean anything
"Compete as much as you can" — why almost everything he does now has a score on it
Why the podcast went quiet: I spent the time rebuilding Practice Thinkers into an app. It's called Ettle now — a 30-second daily log that names what kind of work your practice was: Build, Challenge, or Prep. The first coaches and players are on it this month. It opens up in September.

Blue (Perform) Practice
Blue (Perform) Practice Podcast
In this Practice Thinkers Podcast Stuart and Pete discuss what BLUE practice is, when the best and worst times to do it are.
Also where to do it.
They also discuss how they apply it with the elite level golfers they coach and the common pitfalls of BLUE practice.
Hint...This area is not about developing or training skills, it's about performing them. It's not about learning something new.
