Listening with Compassion

When you listen with compassion, whoever is being listened to experiences being known at their innermost core. That person feels at peace and safe to be with you.
When you can really hear the way it is for another, your heart opens and allows you to
get beyond your own thoughts, judgments and resentments. Then true partnership
begins to blossom. This practice is one of the ten key practices that Jerrene teaches in her Relationship Course. Jerrene has dedicated over 30 years to teaching and living The Relationship Course, which served as the inspiration for launching the Practices in Partnership Podcast.

Link for Questions & Comments:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdyP-j1k_5Z8pOKPDuUJkU3t5fesh0VaoSJ_lkex7XR62DgbQ/viewform?usp=pp_url

Instagram:

https://www.instagram.com/practicesinpartnership/

Email:

practicesinpartnership@gmail.com

Trusting You Are Loved

Trusting You Are Loved requires that you let yourself be loved, and listening in such a way that you hear that you are loved. This practice is the first of the ten key practices that Jerrene teaches in her Relationship Course. Jerrene has dedicated over 30 years to teaching and living The Relationship Course, which served as the inspiration for launching the Practices in Partnership Podcast.

We start this episode by recapping last year as a collective. Then, we discuss how The Relationship Course started in the 1980s by Jerrene's mentors, Lew & Francine Epstein, along with the benefits that the practices have brought to our lives. Jerrene then primes the practice with how to listen to this episode before diving into the practice of Trusting You Are Loved. (skip to 19:28 for the meat of the episode)

Link for Questions & Comments:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdyP-j1k_5Z8pOKPDuUJkU3t5fesh0VaoSJ_lkex7XR62DgbQ/viewform?usp=pp_url

Instagram:

https://www.instagram.com/practicesinpartnership/

Email:

practicesinpartnership@gmail.com

Books Referenced:

Trusting You Are Loved: The Breakthrough Guide to Creating Extraordinary Relationships

by Francine Epstein and Reppy Epstein Kirkilis

meaning making & surrender

In this episode, Jerrene and Jadyn have a candid conversation about how to not make our thoughts mean anything, and how to surrender in stressful situations. The practice in this episode is the distinction that we have a mind, we are not our minds. Also that we have a mind, our mind does not have us. Jerrene gives expert advice on how to live a more peaceful, quiet life through these practices.

Link for Questions & Comments:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdyP-j1k_5Z8pOKPDuUJkU3t5fesh0VaoSJ_lkex7XR62DgbQ/viewform?usp=pp_url

Instagram:

https://www.instagram.com/practicesinpartnership/

Email:

practicesinpartnership@gmail.com

Books Referenced:

The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment

by Eckhart Toll

The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself

by Michael Alan Singer

The Surrender Experiment

by Michael Alan Singer
