Praying God's Word Over Our Cities: Day 20
<p>Hello and welcome to the podcast, my name is Nicole. You are listening to Pray the Word. In this season of Pray the Word we will be using a resource called Praying God's Word Over Your City; 40 Days of Prayer Toward a Transformed Community by Trey and Mary Anne Kent, an excellent resource that has more within each "day" than what we share here, and we highly recommend it for those of you called to be watchmen. </p> <p><br></p> <p>You can find and purchase their resource here on <a href="https://prayershop.org/praying-gods-word-over-your-city/">prayershop.org</a></p> <p><br></p> <p>This podcast will be set up so that you can prayer walk with it, using the prompts for more extended and "onsite with insight" prayers. As always, let us know you are praying and the name of your town so we can join you and pray in agreement. At the end of each episode there will be Prayer Points for you to listen and pray through. Be free to pause the podcast at anytime to pray out what Holy Spirit is prompting. </p> <p><br></p> <p><br></p> <p>Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes. And He will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction. (Malachi 4:5-6)</p> <p><br></p> <p>Prayer Points</p> <p><br></p> <p>Cry out for fathers you know to turn their hearts powerfully and clearly back to their children.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Seek God for children, especially wounded ones, to turn their hearts back to their fathers.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Ask God to provide spiritual fathers and mothers for children, youth, and young adults.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Pray that forgiveness, restoration, and healing would occur in homes across your region.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Believe God for a Jesus awakening in all the homes in your community.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Fathers, you can have your heart turned away from your children simply by ignoring them. By being so swallowed up in your work that all they get are the dregs of your life. - John Piper</p>

Thank Him for His plan and pray for the next steps in bringing forth His work through your marriage.</p> <p><br></p> <p>If you are single, pray for the marriages in your community and ask Jesus to show you how you many encourage the couples you know.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Pray for the single men and women in your community to be led to and prepared by God for their future mate.</p> <p><br></p> <p>Ask forgiveness for every way you have not honored His plan for your marriage and the marriages of others. Ask Jesus to show you specific ways you may repent.</p> <p><br></p> <p>God created marriage. No government subcommittee envisioned it. No social organization developed it.
