2025 Annual Meeting - HD Jones
<p>Our 2025 Harvest Annual Meeting was held at <strong>The Grove Church</strong> on <strong>Tuesday, October 21st</strong>. We had a great turnout, with <strong>137 people attending from 33 of our churches</strong>.</p><p>The Grove did an outstanding job hosting the event, starting with a <strong>delicious taco bar supper</strong>. They also provided dozens of workers who helped with <strong>parking, greeting and directing people</strong>, and supplying everything needed. We want to thank them for all their efforts in making this year’s meeting a success.</p><p><strong>Special music</strong> was provided by <strong>The Grove Worship Team</strong>, and <strong>Rev. H.D. Jones</strong>, pastor of Temple Baptist, preached the sermon.</p><p>During the <strong>business session</strong>:</p><ul><li><p><strong>Union Hill Baptist</strong> and <strong>The Church at Grace Park</strong> were voted into our association as <strong>members in good standing</strong>.</p></li><li><p><strong>Rev. Greg Young, Cherry Mound</strong>, was voted in as <strong>Moderator</strong> for the next two years, taking over from <strong>Rev. Chad Phalen, Ebenezer</strong>, who served diligently from 2023–25.</p></li><li><p><strong>Rev. John Jared, Oak Grove</strong>, was elected as <strong>Vice Moderator</strong>.</p></li></ul><p>The <strong>Honduras Mission Trip participants</strong> were prayed over as they prepared to leave on their journey.</p><p><strong>Exciting announcements:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Association Youth Directors, <strong>Nick Hartman and Chase Southerland</strong>, announced that we are <strong>launching a Youth Camp starting summer 2026</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Bro. <strong>Rob Burdette</strong>, our Associational Missionary, gave a <strong>report on the work of our association this year</strong> and introduced <strong>Noah and Hanna Leighton</strong> as our <strong>new Church Planters</strong> that we will be sponsoring. He asked all churches to <strong>pray about supporting this new work</strong>.</p></li></ul><p>We look forward to <strong>what God is going to do in our association in 2026!</strong></p>
