What happens when you step away from your phone, your routine, and pretty much everything familiar for 3 1/2 weeks?
For Hispanic / Latin Heritage Month, I’m sitting down with my mom to hear about her experience hiking the John Muir Trail, a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that took her into the wilderness and wayyy outside her comfort zone. She went solo, but as part of a group, backpacked for weeks, had limited access to technology, and came home with a whole lot of stories (and probably a new appreciation for a hot shower 😂).

By day, Sabrina works at a nonprofit, and in her spare time, she’s collecting records, sharing music, and creating spaces for people to connect.
