एक्ट्रेस कहानी एक रंगमंच नायिका की है जो अपने 35 वसंत पार कर चुकी है, वह शादी की एक रात पहले कुंवर साहब के प्रेम को मन में बसाये शहर छोड़ कर चली जाती है, क्यों, यह जानने के लिए आइये, कहानी सुनते हैं। उषा छाबड़ा ने 24 साल तक अध्यापन  कार्य किया है, रचनात्मक लेखन, कहानी वाचन आदि पर कई वर्कशॉप्स करती हैं। आठवीं तक के बच्चों के लिए तीन सीरीज लिखीं। कहानीकार हैं, बच्चों को कहानियां सुनाना उन्हें बहुत पसंद है,वे रेक्स कर्मवीर अवार्ड से भी सम्मानित की जा चुकी हैं। बच्चों के लिए ताक धिना धिन नामक गीतों की पुस्तक भी लिखी है।
