Welcome to Press Play On Her, where raw meets real.
I’m Stephanie C, unfiltered, unapologetic, and not afraid to go there. From heartbreak and healing to betrayal, boundaries, and bouncing back, this is the space where we press play on the conversations most people keep on pause.
Now we’re taking it further with YOUR letters, your messy stories, and the real-life situations that make you laugh, cry, or say “WTF?!” Sometimes it’s ratchet, sometimes it’s deep, but it’s always honest.
If you’re ready for truth, transparency, and a little bit of chaos mixed with healing… press play. 🔥
It’s been a couple weeks since I pressed play on me, and baby, today we’re spilling all the tea. From protecting my peace, navigating marriage, to dealing with someone who crossed serious boundaries this episode is raw, real, and unapologetically honest.
Laugh, sip your tea, and listen as I share the story of Miss Valerie. Humor, shade, and growth included.

Episode 6: From Heavy to Healing
This past week and a half has been heavy. The kind where you keep moving, keep showing up, but still feel like you’re running on empty.
Then yesterday, something shifted. I felt a little spark again enough to talk about what it really feels like to come out of the fog of depression.
In this episode, I’m honest about living with bipolar disorder, learning my patterns, and trying to find balance without shame. This isn’t about perfection it’s about awareness, healing, and taking back control one small step at a time.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re drowning quietly while still showing up for everyone else this one’s for you. 💛

Episode 5: Bipolar isn't a buzzword, it's my truth
Recorded at 3 a.m. while trying not to wake anybody up, this episode came straight from a heavy moment. I opened up about living with manic bipolar depression the highs, the lows, the stigma, and the truth people don’t see.
I didn’t say everything I wanted to, like the meds, the natural changes, or the diet shifts but I said enough to start the conversation.
🖤 Press play for the hard, honest talk we need to have.

Highs, Lows & Pressing Play
I’m checking in with my Press Play On Her family. Right now, I’m navigating some highs and lows, and there might not be an episode tomorrow. Just a quick, honest update and a reminder that the reruns are always there if you want to catch up.

Episode Three: Timeline
In this episode, I’m taking it back way back to where my story really began. 1998.
I was already a mom, trying to figure out life, when everything started to shift. From friendship and loss to survival and motherhood, these are the years that shaped who I became.
I talk about Dana, my best friend, my safe space, and the pain of losing her, the heartbreak that changed everything. This one’s emotional, but it’s real. It’s where my timeline starts, and the moments that follow explain so much of who I am today.
If I bounce around a little, my bad sometimes when I remember something new, it finds its way into a new episode. That’s just how healing works. This process is therapeutic, even if I’m the only one who ever plays it back.
So press play, listen close, and take this walk with me.

Safe Choice (Let Him Be a Man or Let Him Go)
Between seasons…but I couldn’t stay quiet.
In this raw, unfiltered bonus episode of Press Play On Her, I read a letter from a woman who’s exhausted from doing it all paying the bills, raising the babies, dominating the bedroom, and still wondering why her younger man won’t step up.
We talk about accountability, insecurity, and the hard truth nobody wants to say out loud:
👉🏾 You can’t complain about carrying the whole load when you signed up to carry it.
👉🏾 A man still needs to feel like a man.
👉🏾 And sometimes… we pick people who need us because we’re scared to let someone actually lead.
This episode is for anybody who’s tired, frustrated, and ready to admit: “Yeah… I might be part of the problem too.”
No judgment. No sugar coating. Just real conversation.
🎥 And yes this one was recorded on VIDEO too 👀… might drop it, we’ll see.

Episode 7: My Voice
This final episode of Season 1 is not a goodbye it’s a pause. A moment to breathe, reflect, and recognize just how far we’ve come. In this episode, I open up about what this season has taught me, how healing shifted my perspective, and why I’m no longer shrinking to fit into places I’ve outgrown. We talk identity, growth, self-worth and the power of choosing you every damn time. Season 2 is coming, but for now... press play on this final chapter of the beginning. Because she ain’t done yet she’s just getting started.

Episode 6 — Forgiveness After Betrayal
It’s raw. It’s real. It’s emotional. And yes... it’s explicit.
In this episode, I dive into what forgiveness really looks like after betrayal — and why it’s not just a one-time thing. I talk about the questions that still linger, the resentment that sometimes resurfaces, and the hard truth about trying to move forward when your trust was shattered.
I went on a few tangents, said some things I might edit later… but maybe I won’t. Because betrayal isn’t neat or clean — it’s messy, painful, and deeply personal.
This episode isn’t for everyone — but it is for the ones still healing.
If you haven’t listened to the bonus episode (“Sex After Betrayal”), go back — or you’ll be a little lost.
And if you’re ready for the uncomfortable, unfiltered truth… press play. 🎧

Sex after betrayal
🎧 BONUS EPISODE — "Sex After Betrayal"
Real talk. No promo. No fluff. Just truth.
This one wasn’t supposed to drop. But when a DM came in asking about sex after being cheated on — or after being the one who retaliated — I poured a glass of red wine, sat down, and pressed record.
We’re talking shame, triggers, revenge, trust, intimacy... and that moment you ask yourself, “Can I even come back from this?”
If you’ve ever found yourself in that space — hurt, healing, still figuring it out — this one's for you.
🖤 This is a follower-only drop. No social media teasers. No reminders. You’re here because you follow. And I appreciate that.

Episode 5: Revenge or Release: When Cheating Feels Like Survival
Ever stayed for the kids? Ever cheated back just to feel seen?
This week on Press Play On Her, I read our first anonymous letter from a listener who’s tired, numb, and cheating for revenge — or maybe just survival. We’re talking about the line between payback and being checked out, what secrets really cost us, and how half-living will drain you faster than any heartbreak.
No judgment. No shame. Just real talk from a Black woman still figuring it out herself.
🗣️ If you’ve ever laid next to someone and felt invisible — this one’s for you.
💌 Got your own letter? Send it my way.

EPISODE 4 — ACCOUNTABILITY
Tonight, we’re pressing play on the hard stuff: accountability — but the kind that starts and ends with us. I’m not here to call anybody out but myself. From my marriage to my own healing, I’m learning that real growth isn’t about perfection, it’s about showing up, even when it’s uncomfortable.
In this episode, I’m talking about letting go of what can’t be fixed, accepting what is, and doing my part to build something real — with my partner, my family, and myself. No sugarcoating, no blame games — just truth, softness, and the power of owning your part.
So whether you’re folding laundry, driving in silence, or just needing to feel seen — press play. Let’s talk. Let’s check ourselves. Let’s heal, one honest conversation at a time.
