WHEN IT GETS PERSONAL Gordon Dabbs, PhD Psalm 73 Psalm 73.2-3 (NLT) But as for me, I almost lost my footing. My feet were slipping, and I was almost gone. For I envied the proud when I saw them prosper despite their wickedness. The division out there is fueled by disorder in here. Psalm 73.1 (NLT) Truly God is good to Israel, to those whose hearts are pure. Psalm 73.4-5 (NLT) They seem to live such painless lives; their bodies are so healthy and strong. They don’t have troubles like other people; they’re not plagued with problems like everyone else. That short phrase in the NLT carries weight – “seem to.” Psalm 73.13 (NLT) Did I keep my heart pure for nothing? Did I keep myself innocent for no reason? When my heart becomes disordered, my perspective becomes distorted. Psalm 73.17 (NKJV) Until I went into the sanctuary of God; Then I understood their end. The sanctuary is a circuit-breaker. It interrupts the formation process of the world. Psalm 73.21-22 (NLT) Then I realized that my heart was bitter, and I was all torn up inside. I was so foolish and ignorant—I must have seemed like a senseless animal to you. Psalm 73.25 (NLT) Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth. Psalm 73.28 (NLT) But as for me, how good it is to be near God! When we draw near to Him, our vision changes

Subscribe to PRESTONCREST - with Gordon Dabbs on Soundwise
