EP 13: HAPPY NEW YEAR!
This week on Pretty Geez Thingz, I’m doing a little New Year check-in. I’m talking about my trip to St. Thomas, what that experience was like for me, and also opening up about my gun being stolen, which has been heavy to process. I give a Christmas recap and talk about feeling anxious going into a new year, especially with the passing of my Dad coming up. I also get into what I did good this year, what I did bad, and what I actually want to do differently next year. No fake resolutions, just being honest with myself! And for Thingz We Don’t Say, I’m over the idea that everything has to be a weekend plan. Why is it impossible to do anything on a Tuesday or a Thursday? Why do plans only exist on Saturdays? EP 12: GRIEVING THROUGH THE HOLIDAYS, MS. PIZZA HUT & RAY J + PRINCESS
This week on Pretty Geez Thingz, I’m catching y’all up on life lately. I finally petitioned to graduate, and I’ve been sick for the first time since my dad passed, which has been rough. It’s one of those moments where I just want to be a big baby, but life isn’t letting me. I also break down my entire Thanksgiving experience. It was my first one without my dad and my first one being no-contact with my family, so navigating the holiday alone felt completely different. I’m sharing what that looked and felt like for me. For hot topics, I get into Summer Walker, also known as Ms. Pizza Hut, and her wanting to be a side chick. It’s definitely not the example women need when it comes to knowing their worth. I also talk about Ray J and Princess Love and how watching people’s real-life downfall play out online in real time is honestly sad. Everything is not meant for the internet. EP 11: GUNNA ON STAGE, BLOCKED BY STRANGERS & PUSHING THROUGH LIFE
This week on Pretty Geez Thingz, I’m starting off with some real-life updates: pampering myself & doing a little shopping, trying to balance life while school keeps throwing things at me left and right, and how the holiday season has me spiraling. Then I get into everything that had me talking this week: Gunna bringing his girl + others on stage and why I see both sides, the Chicago family who was jumped by a group of kids from school, and Kim K failing the bar but still pushing anyways (as she should). For real talk, we're breaking down the weird energy of being blocked by people you’ve literally never met and what that says about them. Then, talking about the pressure of being asked to sing or speak at a funeral, and share what I said at my own Dad’s celebration of life.
