The Kids Left for College. We Weren’t Ready for the Quiet
The kids moved out. The “Mom, help!” calls didn’t stop. 😂
From laundry emergencies to cooking way too much food, the Primas catch up on what life feels like after sending their kids off to college. They’re learning to live on their own—and we’re getting used to a different routine back home.
Then the conversation gets personal: a breakup, a layoff, and the decision to finally take a chance on a business idea that’s been on hold for years.
An honest, funny conversation about the changes we expect, the ones we don’t, and figuring out what comes next.

Finding Balance in the Chaos: Betting on Yourself
How do you know when it’s time to leave the path you were expected to follow and take a chance on yourself?
Illiett Ojeda, founder of Chasing Balance, joins the primas for an honest conversation about shifting careers, pursuing a nontraditional path, and trying to create balance while managing work, family, and personal ambition.
Illiett shares how her experiences in education, corporate life, and entrepreneurship changed her definition of success and taught her that work-life balance is not something we achieve once and keep forever. It requires constant adjustment as our lives, responsibilities, and priorities evolve. The conversation also explores why women often postpone their passions, the fear that comes with choosing an unfamiliar path, and how starting small can be the first real step toward building a life that feels more fulfilling.
Because betting on yourself does not always mean changing everything overnight. Sometimes it begins with giving one idea a genuine chance.
Subscribe for honest conversations about motherhood, relationships, identity, healing, and starting over.

Can You Change Without Growing Apart?
After 24 years together and 16 years of marriage, Jay and Janelle Montalvo still don’t agree about everything—and maybe that’s part of why their relationship works.
The hosts of In the Middle join Ayeisha and Yvette for an honest conversation about evolving together, working with your spouse, men’s mental health, emotional support, and opposing parenting styles. They also explore raising boys without teaching machismo, setting boundaries around screen time, and preparing children to handle independence, rejection, and failure.
Because a strong marriage isn’t built by staying the same. It’s built by continuing to communicate as both people change.
🎧 Listen now and join the conversation.
What is harder for a marriage to navigate: different communication styles, different emotional needs, or different approaches to parenting?
