Episode 8: Unhinged and Sweatier than Ever
<p>Hope you’re ready for a weird one! Technical difficulties have resulted in both of us recording from our phones and Lydia is in a closet. It's a wild ride!</p><p>Elyssa found the mystery scarf that was discovered in her parents’ basement. Here’s a similar <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://lindehobby.com/lang-yarns-1608/lang-yarns-astra-p7132?srsltid=AfmBOorzdyklGu4P3oTls0XORAa-wOJAbWzH--4KhlPPT9n4n0iij_rdONA#vid:46608" target="_blank">yarn </a>in case you’d like to try to make your own!!</p><p>Lydia models her <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/77866360/lyalya-hoodie-abc-adult-baby-child-knit?sr_prefetch=1&pf_from=shop_home&ref=shop_home_active_1&dd=1&logging_key=4fa0303a369c3847c6138784d751cd04b5cb9f18%3A77866360" target="_blank">Lyalya Hoodie</a> and I think we can all agree that it looks great.</p><p>Elyssa has cast on another <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gumnut-hat-3" target="_blank">Gumnut Hat</a>.</p><p>Elyssa has been going to <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.knitandpearls.com/" target="_blank">Knit & Pearls</a> and Lydia checked out <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://yarnery.com/" target="_blank">The Yarnery</a>. While at K&P, Elyssa got to touch some very luxurious yarns including Cascade Suri Seda and Lang Yarns Yak.</p><p>Lydia had a personal meltdown and then cast on a <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/marshland" target="_blank">Marshland</a>.</p><p>Elyssa is working on a <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mini-bunny-33" target="_blank">Mini Bunny</a> by Schmookie Knits.</p><p>Elyssa is also still working on her version of the <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.purlsoho.com/create/2024/08/22/alpenglow-blanket/" target="_blank">Alpenglow Blanket</a>. She’s almost got the math figured out! She cast on the <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/garden-vines-bandana" target="_blank">Garden Vines Bandana</a> and she’s getting ready to start a <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pressed-flowers-kerchief" target="_blank">Pressed Flowers Kerchief</a>.</p><p>This IG <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.instagram.com/p/Da5RjNgiH_g/?hl=en&img_index=1" target="_blank">post </a>really sums up Lydia's creative process (deranged).</p><p>Anyway, were you also traumatized by <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHHLTkokDvo" target="_blank">Fern Gully</a> as a child?</p><p>Elyssa bought yarn in her sleep and it’s gorgeous. Episode 7: What Was in the Basement & Other Horrors

Episode 6: But The Problem Is...
<p>Welcome back to Procrastiknitting! In this episode we attempt to regulate our nervous systems and look cool doing it. Lydia gives an update on her move to St Paul, MN. She’s been swimming in the Mississippi and life is good. Their <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.instagram.com/schmookieknits/" target="_blank">Schmookie Knits</a> <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.schmookieknits.com/shop/p/bunny-pattern-6s5sk" target="_blank">butterflies</a> are coming along and they are pretty darn cute. Lydia mentions our patron saint <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.purlsoho.com/the-opinionated-knitter.html" target="_blank">Elizabeth Zimmerman</a>. Lydia is using Malabrigo Worsted, Brooklyn Tweed Shelter (rip), and some handspun. Elyssa is using Drops Brushed Alpaca. Knitted <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.schmookieknits.com/shop/p/bunny-pattern-337np" target="_blank">bunnies</a> might be next. Lydia is still working on a <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/77866360/lyalya-hoodie-abc-adult-baby-child-knit" target="_blank">Lyalya Hoodie ABC</a> in Malabrigo Worsted. It’s a great little travel project. Lydia is still considering knitting a <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/the-baby-loon-sweater" target="_blank">Baby Loon Sweater</a> but she found out that it involves <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://ysolda.com/blogs/journal/ladderback-jacquard-tutorial?srsltid=AfmBOorGB9uUD8uZJVj5Mpj1LzWOZvpLZcKwmfs_GXtCmHqRv3uL3sN5" target="_blank">ladderback jacquard</a>… Elyssa has cast on a modified <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.purlsoho.com/create/2024/08/22/alpenglow-blanket/" target="_blank">Alpenglow Blanket</a> using her Linen Quill Minis. They briefly discuss the <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.purlsoho.com/create/2025/11/17/charm-blanket/" target="_blank">Charm Blanket</a>. Elyssa unraveled her <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/pippa-dress" target="_blank">Pippa Dress </a>after she discovered some mistakes in the lace knitting. Lydia gives her some advice on using stitch markers and lifelines for easier knitting. Lydia shows off her finished <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.ravelry.com/projects/SmallestFriend/port-jacket" target="_blank">Port Jacket</a>.
