Madeleine McDougall started out wanting to be an Astronaut, but after finishing university not knowing what she wanted to do, a friend advised her to go into property saying it was “intellectual and had great personality”. And it was not bad advice; starting out at Land Securities, she moved into banking during the 2000s cutting her teeth on mega European Industrial deals. In 2014 she joined Lloyds Banking Group as Head of Institutional: advising sovereign wealth, private equity and pension fund clients, and since 2017 been Head of Real Estate and Housing leading a sixty-member strong team. She has become the “IT” woman of property; speaking out about the importance of innovation and diversity – mentoring women, promoting paternity leave and encouraging flexible working to bring about a “change in mindsets".

A household name in the Real Estate Industry; described as an “Investment Queen” Sue Clayton's career in Capital Markets has spanned over 20 years, and has seen her be Head of National Investment before becoming Managing Director of Capital Markets at CBRE, where she is still an Executive Director. She currently sits on numerous boards and is a Non-Executive Director at Segro Plc and Helical Plc as well as being Chair of the Barwood Property Fund and a member of the Committee of Management at Hermes Property Unit Trust. Outside of work, she is a relentless campaigner for diversity in the Industry: since 2012 she has been the Chair of CBRE’s Women’s Network, Member of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Women’s Network Forum and a Trustee of the Reading Real Estate Foundation. She is also a co-founder and member of the Management Committee of Real Estate Balance – an organisation focused on getting more women into senior positions across the Real Estate Industry. All this whilst being a mother to two children and married to former England rugby player Marcus Rose.
