The question we have to ask ourselves is: Is God still giving new revelation today? Few questions are more important for the church and the generation in which we live. How does God speak to his people? Has he given us the final and sufficient revelation in the Holy Scriptures? Or must we as Christians continue to seek new revelations, new prophecies, new visions, and new words from God? In this message, William Greendyk addresses the sufficiency of Scripture in four points: 1. The Scriptures are God's revelation. 2. The Scriptures are God's complete revelation. 3. The Scriptures are God's sufficient revelation. 4. The danger of seeking new revelation.

The Voice of the Son
The sermon explores the theme of Jesus Christ's superiority as presented in Hebrews 1, contrasting the fragmented and temporary methods of God's past communication with the complete and final revelation found in His Son. It argues that while God spoke through various means such as prophets, angels, and theophanies, these were insufficient compared to the ultimate truth embodied in Jesus. The preacher emphasizes that the current era is defined by this singular voice of Christ, accessible through the Incarnation, the inspired Scriptures, and the indwelling Holy Spirit who glorifies Jesus. Rejecting the desire for renewed miraculous signs or prophecies, the text asserts that believers possess a complete and sufficient revelation in the Bible. The message concludes with an urgent call to listen to this final voice of God and recognize believers as Christ's eternal inheritance.
