Fellow Soldiers, Men of Honor - October 18th, 2026
Dr. Scott Hill begins with a question many readers of Scripture have asked, which is why a passage about two of Paul's coworkers sits immediately after one of the highest descriptions of Christ in the New Testament. Working through Philippians 2: 19-30, this sermon considers Timothy, who cared for the Philippians more than for his own interests, and Epaphroditus, who risked his life and came near death for the work of the gospel. It lands on the reminder that neither man is the hero of the passage, that Christ is the reason they served and the reason they could rejoice, and that the people God has already placed in an ordinary week are where a life spent on others begins.

The Humble and Exalted Christ - October 4th, 2026
The message opens in the Roman colony at Philippi, where a man's offices were carved in stone in the order he had climbed them, and sets that culture of honor beside a church where rivalry and selfish ambition had opened a division. Rather than offering a process for resolving conflict, Paul points the congregation to a Christ who, though he was in the form of God, emptied himself by taking the form of a servant and humbled himself to the point of death on a cross. The message follows that descent and the exaltation that answered it, closing on the conviction that humility is not a strategy for getting along but the family resemblance of a people who belong to Jesus Christ.
