And I want to say right away, feel free to disregard that timeline. I do. I think you can divorce the positions from any sort of timeline and keep what is actually useful, namely understanding them as two modes of experience. Two different ways a person can be in the world and experience the world. Also Klein herself chose the word position instead of phase.
